Welcome to The Graceful Moose!

My name is Patti and I am the WAHM behind The Graceful Moose. I am the mother to two beautiful boys, born in August 2006 and June 2010. I was first introduced to cloth diapers when pregnant and enjoyed being able to use a product that was not only cute and saved money, but also kept trash out of landfills.

Shortly after my first was born I learned I also enjoyed sewing diapers and have since found and fallen in love with both the LaDiDa and Fattycakes diaper patterns. In addition to sewing, I also enjoy knitting, reading, and almost anything that allows me to be outdoors.

The meaning behind the name Graceful Moose is twofold. My nickname growing up was "Grace" and is also my username on several online forums. There is a lot of meaning behind the nickname, and it only seemed natural to include it. Why a moose? My grandfather was a huge part of my life and an incredible role model. He was very tuned into nature and he helped mold me into the person I am today. During vacations and weekends we would go camping up to Moosehead Lake, a place that quickly became my personal heaven on earth. Though he passed away 10 years ago, I will always remember the times we had together and the lessons and values he taught all of us. Nor will I forget going out after dinner, looking for our friend "Fred the Moose".
