I am a happily crazy SAHM of 2 lovable terrors! In an attempt to keep some shred of sanity I create adorable baby items (usually in the wee hours of the morning!!) My store, e2designs, is named after my lovely daughter, Ella Elizabeth (e2!) whose passionate hatred of the "infant carrier" created a need for a jacket that didn't take 20 min to get on and off! Our solution - the poncho (which you can find here : http://e2designs.etsy.com) And now, our newest venture into cloth diapering has revealed oh-so sensitive skin! Miss Ella needs the breathablity and natural fibers that only wool can provide! But, of course we NEED to have style and fun as well - so here is our take on the modern (and earth-friendly!) recycled wool cover! As always, customs are welcomed and encouraged - let me know what I can make for YOUR little angel!

I designed the e2 pattern to have some extra room in the rear to accomodate a cloth diaper. However, my woolies can also be worn over a disposable diaper or even underwear!

I use recycled wool for my longies, shorties, and soakers. This means I search my local shops for exceptional wool sweaters, and turn them into the products I sell here. When considering a sweater there are certain criteria that must be met. First, the sweater must be at least 70% wool - this ensures it's moisture barrier and antibacterial properties. Secondly, the sweater must be soft, free of stain and holes, and an appropriate size to use. Lastly, I consider the color - tans, blacks, greys, and dark blues are easier to find than pinks, purples, and pastels.

Recycled wool has environmental and charitable benefits too! Purchasing wool sweaters from Goodwill or other thrift stores keeps these items out of the landfills, and gives them a new purpose. Purchasing from these stores also supports the non-profit organizations that run them.
