Policies:

- Most importantly, I will try, and ask you to try, to keep lines of communication open. I am willing to accommodate almost any reasonable request and want you to be thrilled with your purchase. I will respond to your emails in a timely manner (usually within 24 hours) and ask that you do the same, even if just to let me know that you are still thinking about something.

- Shipping: Items will be shipped within two business days of purchase. All items ship USPS unless otherwise agreed. I recommend that you purchase insurance. If you do not, I will not be liable for any loss or damage that occurs after the item has been mailed.

- Items will come lanolinized in unscented wool wash unless you request otherwise.

- Items come from a smoke and pet free home.

- Embellishment: I am happy to make you one crocheted flower per sunsuit for free. If you are interested in additional flowers, embroidery, lace or cabled wasitbands, duplicate stitch or other embellishment, for sunsuits or longies, please feel free to ask. I love to try new things! Please browse my gallery for examples of past embellishment.

- Repairs: All items are carefully made and are designed to last for many, many years with proper care. That said, children have ways of wreaking havoc, so if your items ever need repair, please contact me and I will do what I can to fix it.
For in-stock items I often have extra yarn and buttons left over. Unless there is a flaw in workmanship, I ask that you cover shipping of the item in need of repair to me, and I will pay to ship it back to you. If you are not the original purchaser of an item, I am still happy to repair it for you, free of charge, should the need arise, but ask that you cover shipping both ways.

- Custom (YYMN) work: Custom work will be done to your child's measurements. Please measure carefully, as I will not be responsible for poor fit due to incorrect measurements. Before beginning work on your item, I will email you a detailed questionnaire, requesting measurements and details about your preferences for design. Please mail me your yarn within a a week of purchasing a YYMN spot, so that I can plan my knitting schedule accordingly. Payment in full must be made before I can begin work on your garment. I will provide you with pictures of your garment as it is being knit, for your approval. Here especially, communication is key. I want you to love your item, and will do what I can to ensure that result.

- RE pooling: I am not a fan of pooling, and have an arsenal of tricks for dealing with it. For custom work I will let you know if I encounter pooling, and will propose ways to deal with it, with the final decision being yours.

- Regarding yarn for YYMN prices. Please email me, before or immediately after purchasing a YYMN spot, to discuss yarn requirements. I have found that there are too many variables to give you a good estimate of how much yarn will be needed for a particular project (and what percentage of that will be needed in each color or colorway) until I have an idea of the details of the project.
That said, I am experienced working with pretty much all types of yarn, and can create a garment that will fit your child beautifully whatever the yarn base, provided there is enough of it.

- Upon receipt of your item, in-stock or custom, please inspect it and ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. If for some reason you are not, please contact me immediately and let me know, so that we can work something out. Items what have been washed or worn cannot be returned, so please do not skip this step! Assuming you are happy with your purchase, I would appreciate it if you would leave feedback, and if you would like to share any action shots with me, I love to see them!

Sizing:
All YYMN spots will be custom made to your baby's measurements and all in stock items will have measurements listed. However, as a general reference point, my sizes assume the respective measurements listed below:

Sunsuits (measurements are for chest and length (measured over a diaper, between the legs, over one shoulder and back around to start)):
Newborn: 15"; 26"
0-3 Months: 16"; 29"
3-6 Months: 17; 31"
6-12 Months: 18"; 33"
12-18 Months: 19"; 35"
18-24 Months: 20.5"; 38"
2T - 3T: 20.5"; 40"
(Please note that the 2T-3T size is designed for children who are still in diapers. A child who wears 3T clothing, but no longer wears diapers will likely fit in a 18-24 month sunsuit.)
