Returns:  All work is handmade and there will be slight variations between items along with the potential for a missed stitch or two that will not affect function.  I want you to be satisfied with your order.  If the item is not what you envisioned, or it just doesn't fit right you can return the item to me in its original, unwashed and unused condition for a full refund less shipping costs.  You must notify me of your intent to return the item within seven days of receipt of the item.   My email address is joyfulbaby@icehouse.net.  You are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the reason for the return is a flaw.  If I have made a mistake, please notify me and I will gladly fix it and pay return shipping.  I want you to be happy with your purchase!

Washing Cloth Diapers:  Please wash and dry your diaper on medium or high heat before using it.  The heat of the dryer will seal the needle holes in the PUL from the sewing process.  After the first wash you can choose to continue to dry your diaper in the dryer or line dry.  When washing, do not use fabric softener including dryer sheets and detergents containing fabric softeners.  In addition, use 1/4 - 1/2 the recommended amount of detergent and I find it best to avoid using detergents that contain enzymes, and optical brighteners.  A great informational resource about washing your cloth diapers and detergent choices can be found at http://www.pinstripesandpolkadots.com/detergentchoices.htm .

Please understand that many materials such as hemp and bamboo take multiple washings to reach their maximum absorbency.  I wash and dry all of my natural fiber fabrics twice on hot before cutting.  Hemp and bamboo can take up to 10 washings to reach maximum absorbency. So, if your purchased diaper contains hemp or bamboo, please wash at least twice before using the first time.  I do wash and dry all fabrics twice before constructing my diapers.

Wool Care:  Clean wool clothing using a mild detergent in lukewarm water (such as baby soap or wool wash - not Woolite though!). DO NOT use hot water! DO NOT ever use bleach.  Bleach dissolves wool.

Completely cover the garment in water and soak for 30 minutes or more if needed to remove soiling. Gently squeeze to allow water to penetrate the fabric. DO NOT wring the clothing.  Rinse thoroughly with cool water to remove all traces of soap.  Gently squeeze to remove excess water. DO NOT WRING the clothing.

To dry, lay the garment on a flat surface, reshaping if necessary and allow to dry away from direct sunlight and heat. DO NOT HANG TO DRY. This will cause the wool fabric to stretch from the weight of the water that has soaked into the fibers.  NEVER PUT WOOL CLOTHING IN THE DRYER! The combination of heat, friction and pressure will cause shrinkage to the clothing called felting and the clothing will no longer fit.

If you have any wool care questions following the purchase, please contact me!
