I use professional acid based dyes which are heat set to prevent bleeding. However, I do recommend washing with like colors the first wash, in case of residual dye being left on the yarn. I also recommend using unscented wool wash, as some scents tend to make certain dye colors run or bleed. I will gladly accept returns for a full refund within 7 days of purchase for in-stock items. There are absolutely NO returns on custom orders.

Handwash your wool yarn  in luke warm water with unscented wool wash, or baby shampoo and lay flat to dry. Machine washable yarns  will be noted in the listing.
