Improve usability of seller's admin pages

Improve usability of seller's admin pages including ease of finding copied listings; better navigation of batch editing fields (it's not obvious what fields are available on which page); split current, future, past listings on to separate pages; include the ability to add listing templates; include better sorting and handling of order history; and batch edit of order history; 'stay signed in' option to avoid time-outs
  1. Admin comment: This item is complete for now. A whole host of tools and usability fixes have been added to the admin pages including: - Ability to batch edit order status - Improved batch edit and quick edit pages for products - Search fields added to order and product pages - Persistent login - Pop-up date chooser (with option to not use) - Flash image uploader - Copy listing takes user straight to editor for listing - Improved organization of product listings (tabbed, paginated) with options to revert back to viewing all listings on a single page - Addition of template capability for listings

  1. I definitely agree about being able to identify a repeat customer. I like to tailor my responses to those people and I can't remember (or search for) every customer when they order.

  2. Combined from Add the ability to Archive a listing:

I don't like deleting past/sold listings for fear there is a link somewhere that may break. Believe it or not I still get click throughs from posts that are 3+ years old. But having a huge amount of out dated items cluttering up my stocking page is irritating. It would be great to have the ability to archive them, and have them move to a separate page for management.

  3. Combined from Batch Edit Order History:

Allow sellers to batch edit order history so we can quickly update items as shipped or cancelled all from one page rather than clicking on each individual item in the Order History.

  4. At the moment, if I am needing to see archived listings, I have to go to ALL products, or if I am in one category and I am trying to find an archived listing, it takes me back to ALL products/categories. Could this be changed so you can view the archived items IN the category they are in? It's such a pain to weed through hundreds of archived listings to find one, when I could find it much easier if it remained in the category I am working on.

  5. I absolutely love the suggestion of adding listing templates. I have a lot of similar items, so copying is something I do... the end result isn't always pretty though, and ends up being reformatted. /sigh

  6. Combined from Add "Stay signed in" option for vendor logins:

Add "Stay signed in" option for vendor logins so vendor logins don't time out.

  7. If not Batch edit, then at least save the settings so that if I am in July 2011 then when I click back it should go back to July 2011 rather than the current month.

  8. Combined from Batch edit for Order Status:

When I ship a bunch of orders in a day, it would be great to be able to batch edit them all to "shipped" rather than click into each order separately to change its status.

  9. Combined from Easier sorting of past orders:

It'd be nice to be able to quickly see if a customer is a repeat customer or just easier sorting of past orders overall. Right now orders placed on the 31st of a month are often on the page for the month they were ordered as well as on the next month's orders.

  10. Combined from make it easier to find a copied listing:

right now when you copy a listing it copies it and then randomly puts it in anywhere it wants within your listings. It'd be handy if it could copy a listing and either mark it as a copied listing (for the sellers eyes) or just automatically put it at the top or bottom of your listings.
