The Sewing Room
This is where the magic happens!
It may seem like a simple process, but it is actually quite complex...
1) Pile the kids in the car, and go shopping at thrift stores that are within an hour of our house
2) Sift through tags, squish with hands, and do the "face test" to make sure wool is up to par with my standards
3) Purchase wool, and bring it home!
4) Wash/felt as needed
5) Photograph, measure, and catolog
6) Figure out what size/style cover, with multiple measurements
7) Cut out cover pieces
8) Sew cover up, and re-take measurements for catolog
9) Photograph finished cover
10) Upload photos, edit lighting, and create listing
11) Lanolize cover with wool wash and lanolin, spin out, and hang to dry
12) Store cover with other instock fluff, to prevent exposure to children, and moths/insects
Once purchased, cover is packaged up with made-by-me care cards, a business card, and wool wash sample bag from Crow Mountain Crafts. We weigh the package, print label, and it is ready to go to the mailbox/PO the next morning!
Life is crazy, but it is a beautiful crazy wonderful life ♥
