CALCULATING CUSTOM PRICES
Unlike some knitters, we do not charge extra just to do a custom order. We essentially use the same calculations for determining our YYMN prices, as we do for our in-stock items.
For the most part, our labor cost equates to $.16 per yard. If a pattern is inordinately complex, or the customer presents us with a number of challenges while knitting, we may adjust the labor charge accordingly.
MYMN and in-stock orders are determined by adding the total yardage knit with the cost of materials. If a more expensive yarn is used, this will affect the final price of the item. We also factor expenditures for embellishments such as embroidery, buttons, clippies, and zippers.
Custom orders may take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to complete, depending upon the complexity of the design.
If you require a faster turn around, please send us an e-mail and we will try to accommodate you.
MYMN COLOR CHOICES
You may choose from any of our in-stock yarns. For the most part, we have every color of the rainbow. You can check our yarn gallery here. Or, you can send us an e-mail with an idea of what you are looking for, and we will work to make your vision a reality. If we don't have it, we can get it. We also have a variety of specialty and WAHM yarns. We also have several yarn dyers that we work with regularly and can recommend to you. So, just let us know what you are looking for.
YYMN customers are responsible for the cost of shipping wool to us. You may also arrange to have your dyer ship directly to us. The customer is responsible for sending the correct amount of yarn for the item that is being knit. Knoodle Knits is not responsible for yarn shortages. Please contact us if you have questions about appropriate yardage requirements and yarn bases.
Knoodle Knits is not responsible for items that do not fit when they have been knit to the customer's requested measurements. It is essential that you measure your child carefully when placing a custom order. If you need help taking measurements, please contact us. You may also refer to this guide: Craft Yarn Council Standard Body Measurements/Sizing
Additionally, let us assist you with determining upsizing of garments. While it is desirable to have a garment that will fit for some time, you do not want to overestimate your measurements and end up with an incorrect or uncomfortable fit.
Your balance is due prior to beginning work on your item, the non-refundable deposit holds your place in line. Your deposit will be deducted from the final price of your item.
Custom orders, are made to order and are therefore, non-returnable. Knoodle Knits will do everything we can to make sure your item is 100% to your satisfaction. We will send progress pictures along the way to help ensure that you will love what you receive.
At this time we are only accepting payments through PayPal.
We make no promises with regard to pooling. While we will do everything possible to create an item with desirable pooling, it is not always possible to prevent zags, stacking, and blocking. We will not accept returns due to pooling. Also, please keep in mind that pooling is much more obvious in a photograph, than in person, when worn.
In addition to working with our own, unique patterns, Knoodle Knits is a licensed seller of the following patterns:
