About Mama Made
MamaMade is just me...a mama of three...making each and every item from start to finish. I love the creative process, and having a finished product at the end is just frosting for me.
I have three boys who keep me on my toes, and leave me to sew only late at night. My youngest has a chronic health condition which is quickly teaching (and reminding me) about how to be so grateful for the wonderful things I have in life.
I have run an Etsy shop since 2007, and have decided to start listing on Hyenacart due to the success of the diapers I've been making.
My background:
I come by my craftiness honestly...it's in my genes. My dad has done every craft from making musical instruments to carving wooden figures, to creating entire rooms with detailed train layouts. My mom is an artist and quilter, and has co-owned a very successful quilt shop for over 30 years (among other things - like running a fabric design and book publishing company!).
So, needless to say, I've been sewing and quilting since I was in the womb - but really since I was 6 years old. I have made hundreds of quilts over my life, as well as many many other projects (like the time in 6th grade I made a teddy bear for each one of my friends as a Christmas present!).
My sewing machine sees use every day, it is my way to take time out of my stressful and busy life. I take great pride in the professional quality of my work, and work very hard to finish each item with care and professionalism.
