About Me

Welcome to A Lovely Start!  I am glad you found your way to me.  I hope you take some time to look around and get to know me.

I am Michelle, mama to two wonderful children and wife to a very good man! My family is my love, my life, and my job. When they give me a little time off (read: go to sleep) I love to hide out in my sewing room and create handmade wears, upcycled goodies, and squishy diapers, or spend time outside in my yard and garden. I believe that it is our responsibility to future generations to take care of our earth. We can make a difference with each small step we take. That's why I wrap my baby's bottoms in soft reusable cloth diapers, am conscious of "one-time-use" products in my home, choose products with less packaging, grow my own produce and buy local whenever possible, and as always - reuse, reduce, and recycle where ever I find the opportunity. I hope that I have made a little bit of a difference to our earth and maybe inspired someone else to do so as well.
