How to Care for Your HoneyBums

Generally, the recommended care for cloth diapers is this:
-Cold rinse
-Hot wash w/ cloth diaper safe detergent, cold rinse
-Extra cold rinse
-Line dry/tumble dry low
-No fabric softener
-Use bleach sparingly, if at all
-Wash every other day

However, your routine depends on the type of water you have, how often you do diaper laundry, what type of washer you have, what detergent you use, etc.  If you've already found a routine that works for you, there is no need to change that for these diapers.

What I feel is most important for a diaper laundry routine is to keep it as simple as possible!  Find what works, stick with it, and don't over analyze the vast amount of information that is out there.

Got ammonia?  I add 1/4c distilled vinegar to my pre-rinse when I feel like ammonia issues are starting to show.  If there's some major stink going on, I like Rockin' Green's Funk Rock.

Got yeast?  I add 1/4c regular bleach to the wash for the entire time I'm treating the rash.  I treat yeast rashes for about a week after the rash has cleared to prevent reinfection, so the same goes for the diapers.  You may need to throw in another rinse at the end to make sure it's all rinsed out.
