ABOUT US

Emrose Diapers & Baby Boutique was created a few months after the birth of my first daughter, Emilyn Rose.  I began cloth diapering her at around 9 weeks old.  I started off with a few covers, inserts and liners to try it out and see how I liked it.  I did extensive research to buy the best product I could afford and what best fit my lifestyle.

Then I discovered pocket diapers.  I didn't know diapers could be so cute!  And then it began...my cloth diaper addiction.  My stash quickly grew from 5 covers and 2 dozen inserts to 8 covers, 40 inserts, 80 pockets w/inserts, a dozen doublers, wipes, wet bags, etc...over 100 diaper changes for one little girl!  My cloth addiction escalated when I found out about WAHM diapers!  After a few custom pockets, I realized that I either have to stop buying diapers or start making my own.  Well. I knew I wouldn't be able to stop buying fluff...so I created Emrose Diapers & Baby Boutique.  My very first diaper was a cute pink camo and skull soaker cover...and I never looked back.

Most of our supplies are from the US and Canada.  We do have some cotton print fabrics imported from Indonesia, Pakistan and China.  Our thread is high quality 100% polyester from Germany.  Our PUL, bamboo, microfiber, cotton and hemp are made in the USA and Canada.  Our KAM snaps have been tested for harmful substances.  Our PUL, elastic, bamboo and microfiber is CPSIA compliant lead and phalate free. 

My husband and I operate and make all Emrose products from our home in Northern NJ, USA.  Since I'm a SAHM to our daughter, it's perfect to be able to have her with me while I work in the studio.  We have a smoke free home, but it is shared by our 5 cats.  Don't worry they stay out of my sewing studio and they don't particularly care to wear the diapers ;-).  We also make children's clothing and accessories for momma and the home.

Since starting Emrose, we have also launched our website where all our baby and momma products are, Crunchy Momma, Crunchy Baby.  As of February 2013, Emrose Fabrics is under construction.  That is our online fabric and yarn store catering to cloth diapers.
