About Me
My name is Andrea. I am a proud mama to a beautiful little girl named
Zoe, wife to my wonderful & supportive husband and the owner &
founder of Dream Carriers. I started making carriers when I was
pregnant with my daughter. I knew I would want to wear her, but I had
no idea what kind of carrier I was going to like. So with money being
tight, I decided to make my own. Once I started making them, I had
requests for carriers from friends and others on the internet. I
decided to give it a shot and launched my website in August 2006. It
started slow, but once the good word of mouth started, business
definitely picked up. I love being a work at home mom(wahm). I find it
amazing every day that my getting pregnant with my daughter led me to
find my passion in life(besides my daughter). That would be designing,
sewing and helping other parents find the babywearing love as I put it.

After my first real winter of babywearing in
Portland, OR, I decided I really wanted a mei tai that had buckles. I
Love the feeling of a mei tai, but hate getting my straps dirty in the
wet parking lot, or worse, standing in the rain, trying to tie my mei
tai with my daughter in it. It was then that I picked up some buckles
and webbing and added them to my carrier design. It was nice, but I
knew there were other features that I wanted, like leg padding, a
contoured design, etc. That is what prompted the redesign. After almost
a dozen designs, I came up with the final 'original' Dream Carrier
buckle tai design. The Original DCBT features a stylish, curved,
contoured body along with leg padding for your childs comfort. As well
as the option to have a padded waist, which I find very comfortable and
supportive with my almost 2yr old. It quickly became my daughter's
favorite carrier! I hope to help you find your Dream Carrier & help
