Caring for Your Bébé
Britches Fitted Diapers
Although all fabrics used in Bébé
Britches fitteds come prewashed, it will take 5-7 washings in order for them to reach maximum absorbency. However, feel free to put them on your little one straight out of the packaging.
To care for your fitted diapers, I recommend the following:
- Cold rinse
- Hot wash with a small amount of cloth diaper safe detergent
- Cold rinse (repeat until all suds are gone)
- Hang dry, when possible; otherwise dry on lower heat
- Toss in the dryer to soften and fluff
All fabrics lose some of their softness over time. If you find that your Bébé
Britches are losing their squishiness, an occasional rinse with Ecover can do wonders!
Caring for Your Bébé
Britches All-in-Two Diapers
Again, all fabrics used in Bébé
Britches AI2 diapers have been prewashed but will still need 5-7 washings in order for
them to reach maximum absorbency.
To care for your AI2 diapers, I recommend the following:
- Cold rinse
- Hot wash with a small amount of cloth diaper safe detergent
- Cold rinse (repeat until all suds are gone)
- Hang dry, when possible; otherwise soakers may be dried on lower heat (***Outer shell should be hung to dry in order to maintain the effectiveness of the hidden PUL layer. Shells should be tossed in the dryer on occasion to reseal the PUL. Have I confused you yet? :-))
- Toss soakers in the dryer to soften and fluff

Note - All fabrics have been washed in Rockin' Green and are treated just as I care for my own diapers (cold rinse, hot wash, and cold rinse). To reduce shrinkage, everything has been dried on high heat. Materials may still shrink slightly over time, however.
