Policies:
Payment:
I take PayPal. You can use funded
or non-funded PayPal accounts for your purchases, which means you can use your
credit or debit card through PayPal if you choose.
I also take RME. To
pay via RME, check out as usual, but stop short at the PP login page. Email me
with the email address you use for RME, along with your order #, and I will send
you an invoice for the amount due. Please be sure to send me your shipping
address if it is not listed in your RME account!
Sales Tax:
Georgia residents are
automatically charged a 4% sales tax through PayPal's system.
Shipping:
Shipping is always $3.00 for
first-class to anywhere in the continental US, $4.00 to CAN, AK and HI. This is
for your whole purchase, regardless of how large or small. Occasionally, I offer
free shipping on select items, or as a special discount. I usually purchase
tracking on packages where that is an option, but my liability ends with my
efforts to help you locate a lost package. If you want insurance on the package,
please let me know!!! I can invoice you for the additional $$ due to cover the
cost of insurance (and I'll be happy to split the bill with you!).
I will
also ship to other countries if you'll pay for the extra shipping. Be aware that
shipping at "the cheapest rate" means there will be no tracking on the package.
I purchase a 'certificate of mailing' at my own expense, and I am not
responsible for packages after shipping internationally. If you want shipping
and/or insurance, the package must be shipped at the next higher level, which is
generally about $18 (this amount may change with the new postal
rates).
Returns:
I will take
returns on unwashed, unused items within 15 days of purchase. Shipping is not
refundable, and return shipping is the Buyer's responsibility. Please email me
to let me know you're returning an item, and the reason. Refunds will be posted
only after the item is received, so please BE SURE to purchase tracking on your
package—I am not responsible for the item until it arrives in my
mailbox.
Warranty:
All items
are warranted by me for 60 days on the embroidery (other than normal wear and
tear). Shirts, caps, hats, blankets, most diapers, covers (except Thirsties),
etc. have no additional warranty.
Smarty Pants Diapers is a licensed retailer of Happy Heiny's and Green Acre
Designs. Unembellished products from these manufacturers come to you with the
normal manufacturer's respective warranties--please check manufacturers'
websites for details. Embellishment of any kind voids manufacturers' warranties,
so Smarty Pants Diapers offers a similar warranty to each respective
manufacturer's warranty. Please contact me with any issues or concerns. Our
liability ends with replacing or repairing the cover, at my discretion.
Unembellished Thirsties diaper covers would normally come with their own
manufacturer's warranty of 90 days on defects such as loose stitching, holes,
mis-sewn, etc. Per the manufacturer, "Staining, fading, and potential build-up
is considered normal 'wear and tear' and does not suffice for replacement
purposes." Smarty Pants Diapers is not a licensed retailer of Thirsties
products; however, we do honor a similar warranty to what the manufacturer would
provide. Please contact me with any issues or concerns. Our liability ends with
replacing or repairing the cover, at my discretion.
Unembellished Fuzzi
Bunz diapers would normally come with their own manufacturer's warranty of 90
days on sewing/workmanship defects and elastic defects, and 12 months on snap
defects. Smarty Pants Diapers is not a licensed retailer of Mother of Eden
products; however, we do honor a similar warranty to what the manufacturer would
provide. Please contact me with any issues or concerns. Our liability ends with
replacing or repairing the diaper, at my discretion. Normal wear and tear is
excluded (such as pilling, repelling, ammonia issues, shot elastic, leaking,
size discrepancies etc.)
