New--WAHM-made soap bits!
Kim's Monkey Butt Soap Bits are now stocked on Smarty Pants Diapers!
DS customers are loving these soap bits, which were developed by Kim for her sensitive-skinned baby, and tested for well over a year now by dozens of mamas. Here are some comments by users:
"I just got mine in the mail and they smell AMAZING, even DH loved them!!"
"great price and neat idea. sweet momma too!"
"I bought a bag about 5 months ago and I still have about 1/2 a bag left. I love
the smell, the fact that my LO doesn't get diaper rash, and the ease of
use. Thanks so much for making a simple, but awesome product"
"The only complaint is that they will last forever and ever. I won't have
many excuses to buy other scents!"
"Had to post and say these are AWESOME. I ordered a bag of the peach and I LOVE
them!! It smells delicious. ooooh I can't wait for the watermelon! YUM!"
"My entire family uses the mix on every day clean ups. They smell yummy, (but not
overpowering). I left a saturated wipes container in my moms car for over a
week, and guess what?---no mildew stink! These really are my favorite, and we have tried so many! I am on our 3rd bag! and not
because we ran out, we just love the yummy scents, it's hard to choose just one!"
"Everyone, this mama does GREAT work! We used her bits for over a year & now
my ds is PTd. We will be getting more when my next baby is born in November! I
never use anything else because all else gave ds a rash! These are AWESOME!!!!"
"This mama makes fabulous soap bits... we've been using them since .... gosh for
more than 8 months now it must be! They are great. We use them for clean ups,
for wipes, for everything!"
"I have tried so many different wipe solutions and they are all so oily and I just never liked anything [else]."

Kim's Directions:
"Add 1-2 Soap bits to a peri/squirt or pop top bottle of water (you can use
distilled water too) and swish. I use two different types of bottles, the Peri
Bottles for home, and two pop top squirt bottles from PVS (Ponte Verde Soap)
soap for travel. Leave mixture as is, or add your favorite oil (Apricot Kernel,
Burt's Bess Baby Oil, Cocoa Butter oil or Olive oil are ones that I love using)
and swish the mixture, and swish each time you go to use the squirt bottle.
Saturate your wipes and place them in a wetbag and in your wipes warmer if you
have one. Avoid a ziploc bag, as I find that they do not breathe as well as a
wipes wetbag. You
can add your favorite oil to your bottle of water if you desire. However you do
not need to as the soap bits have Apricot Kernel Oil, Cocoa butter oil, and
Olive Oil, along with Palm and essential oils infused in the soap bits. On days
that I am out, and it is really hot, I find that my son can get rashy, so I add
a little bit of Witch Hazel to the bottle mixture to help with the diaper and
heat rash. So here is what is in the mixture. You will need a squirt bottle,
Water or distilled water, 1-3 soap bits, and your favorite body oil (Oil
Optional), and Witch Hazel which is optional and more situational for me. I use
trace amounts of TTO in my bits to prevent molding. It generally takes about a
week to two weeks for you to get the bits completely disolved. Because of this,
you can get a lot of water/mixture refills. I have found with other bits, that
with cold or warm water, they disolve over night, and you don't really get your
money's worth.
You can get some cheapy bottles from Wal mart in the
travel size department to hold your mixture in, or in those make up bags, they
usually come with some bottles. I always keep my wipes saturated in a wetbag and
I carry a small bag of bits with me, and my bottle solution wherever I go. I get
large bottles from PVS soap, and these are freaking awesome for traveling. I
carry one mixed bottle with me at all times, and I have 2 peri bottles placed in
various spots in the house and use the two pop top bottles for traveling. .
Also, always rotate your oldest wipes to the top of the pack and put
the new ones on the bottom. I
never get a smell, mold, or slime problem with my saturated wipes and solution.
You certainly don't have to saturate your wipes when you travel. You can carry
dry wipes, and your bottle of mixed up solution and saturate your wipes as you
clean your baby's bum.
Here is what I use to for my travel bottle. It
has a pop top on it, so I never have a problem with leaks etc. Here is the
website for PVS soap. They rock by the way, and have great Customer service and
prices. http://www.pvsoap.com/images/IMG_BPF8.JPG Disc top cap pops
up when pressure is applied. You can choose cap color."
