Shared Hyena Cart stores (also known as congos, short for conglomerates), are a great way to team up with other sellers, inspiring one another and pulling in increased
traffic and interest to everyone's product listings. With a shared store, you will get one administrative account which can be used to set up individual seller accounts, access
all product listings, and change store settings. Individual sellers can have accounts that allow them to manage their own listings and access order histories.
How do I sign up for a shared store on Hyena Cart?
- Click the sign-up button and fill in your email address:
- Complete the form at link that is mailed to you (you can also click directly to the form after entering your email address)
- After you submit the form, click the Paypal button to pay the set-up fee
- Wait for the informational email containing your store link, login information, etc. This should come to you within 24 hours of payment. If not, please forward your Paypal
receipt to email@example.com with subject line "Payment error."
- Log in to your store and get started!
How much does it cost to run a shared store?
Running a shared store costs $25/month if product images are hosted elsewhere (for example, on photobucket or your own domain), and $37.50/month if you would like to be able to upload
your images directly to the Hyena Cart server. You can choose which option you prefer during the sign-up process (you can also change your mind later). There are no listing fees or final value fees. And if you take
a break from your store, you do not need to pay during that month.
What if there are only a few of us?
There is another option with shared stores that used to be called the HC Standard store. If you don't mind sharing a single login (everyone will have access to everyone else's listing and order information), then
you can sign up for a Shared store that is not a congo (choose "no" for congo during the sign-up process). Your cost will then be $5/month if you host your own images,
or $7.50/month if you host your images on Hyena Cart.
Are there any limitations with a shared store?
With shared stores, customers can only check out with one item at a time. This is because each listing may be linked to a different seller's Paypal account. Thus, shoppers
will not be able to load up a shopping basket and check out with several things at once.
Is this the same thing as an HCS store?
Yes, this type of store is what we formerly called the HC Standard store, as it was the first type of store available on Hyena Cart.
