Required Materials Yarn: Yardages listed are generous estimates. It's always better to err on the side of too much yarn rather than to little. When in doubt, buy the extra skein for insurance. In 8-10 wpi or worsted to aran weight yarn you will need approximately 260 (300, 345, 395, 450). If you choose a contrasting color for the yoke and hem it should be about 20% of your total yardage.
Needles: 30” or longer circular needles in US sizes 8, 9, 10, 10½, & 11 (or size required to obtain gauge and needles in each of the next four sizes). This is an ideal project for a circular needle with interchangeable tips.
Notions: Scrap yarn or stitch holders, darning needle, closure for the neck (your choice of a button, clasp, or tie), optional stitch markers for lace work – if you choose to use them, you will need 9 (9, 10, 11, 8) markers.
