I am proud to introduce my Mermaid Skirt/Soaker Sack Pattern.  This pattern will contain instructions for knitting a newborn/small soaker sack, a 4T Mermaid Skirt, and suggestions for adjustments to knit other sizes as well.

This is an Intermediate Pattern, requiring the use of a Provisional Cast on, as well as the skills of Knit, Purl, Slip Stitch, and Yarn Over.

 

Gauge:  5 stitches per inch in stockinette

 

Materials required:

Size 6 16" circular needle  (or needle size 2 sizes smaller than that needed to obtain gauge)

Size 8 16" circular needle  (or needle size needed to obtain gauge)

Size Size 8 24" circular needle

Darning Needle

Aran/Worsted Weight Yarn - 150-200 gms (6-8oz)

Optional - 4.5-5.0 mm crochet hook for bind off
