"Songs of a Thundering God" is hand-dyed with acid dyes on Blue Faced Leicester. Each skein has been hand-dyed using professional acid dyes in shades of chocolate brown, light turquoise, teal, and a light plum purple, with natural yarn left to show.

BFL is incredibly soft, it is also dense and highly valued for its warmth and waterproof qualities. It is commonly referred to as "Poor man's cashmere". BFL is sturdy, yet flexible and wears very well. There are two skeins of "Songs of a Thundering God" available. Each skein is 4 oz of aran weight and is approximately 205 yards.
