This is a handbound carved journal. It is one of my favorite journals to make, but also one of the most time consuming. The cover is made by drawing or stamping the design onto the special bookboard and then cutting around the design with an exacto knife and peeling out a layer of the board. This is done over and over again until the design is deep enough.
The cover paper is textured and painted to achieve just the right look.
This journal is 8" X 5 1/2", opens flat for ease of use and has 128 pages. It also has signature wraps to add beauty and texture to the spine and pages.
