My family is somewhat addicted to a well known online game where the fight between good and evil seems to be neverending.  Trolls are one of the races (both of players, and of computer driven 'bad guys'), including several types of trolls, and a variety of tribes within each of these types.   So when i was thinking about the troll theme, these are the trolls that came to mind. :-)

Ice trolls live on several of the continents of the online world.  This yarn is based on a tribe who inhabit parts of the northernmost continent (where only the most advanced players are able to quest...).  It is spun from blue faced leicester roving, which is soft and durable, and the finished yarn was hand painted with professional dyes.   It is bulky weight, at approximately 10 wraps per inch, but is slightly thick and thin, giving it a slightly rustic character.
