Mercado is a brilliant blend of cherry red, raspberry pink, lemon yellow, and lime and leaf greens, with a pop of purple. The name was inspired by the bright colors of a Southwestern farmers' market (mercado is the Spanish word for market). Mercado is hand-dyed on Willow aran Blue-Faced Leicester, a soft and marvelously fluffy wool from Canada. It's the perfect yarn for longies, and would also make a wonderful scarf, hat, mittens, wrap, or sweater. Each 4 oz skein measures approximately 186 yards. Hand wash, lay flat to dry. Suggested needle size: U.S. 7-9.
