Cloth Lunch Kits: Wash on warm/Dry on low/Iron as Necc avioding polyresin snaps
DIAPERS: I always recommend washing and drying before first use for the best performance of the diaper. Absolutely NO fabric softeners should be used as they will create a waterproofing effect, and only very rarely use bleach agents as they will eat the PUL over time.
1. Presoak/Prewash on COLD,
2. wash on WARM or HOT with ¼ of the called for non-additive detergent, - I prefer Country Save.
*extra rinse may be desired
3. dry on WARM or if you have the ability, save some energy & hang dry!
Snaps CANNOT be boiled or washed on sani-cycles where the water is heated above normal temps – they will warp. I don’t suggest boiling ANY of my dipes or using extreme temps as the elastic and fabrics will wear out much faster.
DETERGENTS: The detergent you use makes a huge difference in the performance of your diapers. Please see the list at www.diaperpin.com under “product reviews” in the top brown tool bar and then “fabric care.” My personal favorite: Country Save Powder.
MAMA PADS: Soak in a solution of water while dirty and waiting for wash day. Wash with the same instructions as the diapers ~ or with them if you are cloth diapering mama, too!
Organic Cotton, HEMP & BAMBOO PRODUCTS: Please remember that organic/hemp /bamboo will take an additional 6-10 washes/dries before it reaches it’s full absorption ability. I wash & dry twice on hot before sewing with it, so I’ve started the process .
