OK -- this is what I'm thinking. We've had the giveaways going on for a few weeks now and it's been tons of fun. But I thought maybe we could do something more structured and ongoing.

Every time you start a new topic (outside of the Spam and Test forums), you earn HC$0.05. Every time someone replies to your post, you earn HC$0.01. When you reply to someone else's thread, you earn HC$0.02. You also earn a penny for every 200 characters you type. I may adjust these rates in the future, depending on inflation Wink

In this forum, the Store forum, wahm's will list the items they want to give away. You can purchase these items by "buying" them using the [Donate] link under the wahm's username. Make sure and include a message or the wahm will not be notified of the donation.

So all you wahm's -- if you want to do an item giveaway, list it here with the item title and price in HC$ in the title. You can then turn around and "buy" advertising time at HC using the HC$ you earn from your sales.

Oh, and don't forget to be generous with that donate button. If someone posts some amazingly adorable pics, or some great advice, or if a wahm goes above and beyond in customer service, consider donating some HC$ to her. It'll give you good karma Smile

More specific "rules":

1) For wahms -- to post an item, just list a new topic with the item name and price in HC$. When someone buys an item, you'll receive a PM that so-and-so has donated some HC$ to you. Provided that the right amount has been donated to you, you can consider that item sold to the PMer. Please edit the title to indicate that your item is sold. Then you can use the HC$ to purchase advertising time at HC or donate the HC$ to someone else. If two people buy the same item from you, you can donate the HC$ back to the second buyer.

2) for buyers -- just keep posting away to earn your HC$. Once you have enough to buy the item you'd like, check the title to make sure it isn't sold. If it's available, click the [Donate] link under the seller's name and donate the correct amount of HC$. Please include the name of the item in your donation message. As long as you're the first one to buy the item, it's yours Smile

If it happens that the item has already been sold, the seller will donate your HC$ back to you so you can buy something else. Have fun! Please don't ask to purchase items for hc$. We want to keep this fun for the wahms, so they continue to offer items.

ETA -- The store is only for new wahm items for sale with hc$ or partial hc$.
If you want to sell your used items for hc$ please post those in fsot.
