Haha, exactly Wink I don't know! Boyish stuff? I mean, he plays drums, and he likes Mickey Mouse, but I don't wanna just get him more "stuff," ya know? I wanna get him things he needs/wants, and not just something that gets an "oh, cool!" and played with for 5 minutes. I'm having a hard time.

We're big into not just getting stuff too. Is there a cool zoo or children's museum that you could get a membership to? How about craft materials like paints, bath crayons, sticker books? Or stuff for the water table or sand box?

Cowboy boots, Nerf gun, cork gun, spider-man car, wii game, spider-man night light, cowboys and indians, sidewalk chalk and a helium balloon. Those are the things my 6 year old got yesterday. Wink Most of those things were bought gently used.

My 5yo is so very into legos. They are something I kow I can get him and he will use over and over. My 7yo is anything educational at 5 you could have gotten him river monsters on dvd and he would be excited we just got him the national geo kids 2013 almanac and he has spent hours reading it.

Isaiah likes educational stuff, too. We are taking him to the museum on his birthday, since he didn't want a party.
These are all good ideas. Thanks, ladies!

My boys are into legos big time. Also, my youngest really enjoys his Mobigo when he is allowed to play (we limit video game time here like a lot of other parents on this board). I've got two NIP Mobigos (that come with a game) if interested.

If all else fails, books work well for the boys. I find if I get some that include things the boys really like, they read them multiple times. Also, match box cars or wooden cars/trains are a win everytime.
