What size needles do you typically use for MMR Worsted? What gauge do you get with them? Just comparing here. I normally use size 7's and like the fabric I get with that. I'm getting ready to do a gauge swatch. _________________ Jenny

I generally need a size bigger than recommended, as I am a tight knitter. For worsted I go with a us9. _________________ Jennifer--wife to Bobby (5/09), mom to Lorynne (6/05), Nolyn (7/09), & Loghyn (1/12), 2 cats, & 1 dog

I usually use a 7 or 8. I can't remember what my gauge usually is though. _________________ Amanda, wife of 1, mom of 5

I usually use a US8 with down-the-middle worsted and get about 5 sts/inch. Depending on how thick an aran weight is, I either stay with 8 and get about 4.5 sts/inch, or go up to 9 for about 4.5 sts/inch. If it's a thinner worsted, such as LT, I like the tension of a 7, but I don't always get gauge for the project, so I still may use an 8. _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)

On US8's with MMR, I generally get 9 sts/2". _________________ Nisha -- Calico Cottage Designs mama of 2 boys 1 girl a and a lab

I use 8s with MMW and get 4.5spi, though I recently had a super thin batch of MMW that I needed to size down as it was quite different than the squisher worsted I was used to. _________________ Knitting mama to Crabby Patty & Lovebug |

I use a 10 to 10.5 as I am a very tight knitter and usually get about 5 spi. _________________ ~Melissa
