For the past two days every time I pop in and check new posts, there's only 2 or 3 new ones (and hours have gone by since my last visit.)

What's going on? Where is everyone? Is everyone starting their Memorial Day celebrations early?

C'mon...give this nursing momma something to read while NAKing.

That is all.....
Smile

I was wondering the same thing. Although, I'm not NAKing anymore. LOL

I was thinking it must be a lot nicer outside for everyone who is not where I am. Wink

We've been super busy with repainting the whole house, adding baseboards (finally!!), and working on the garden and adding cedar shingles to the woodshed. This mama pushed a little too hard these past few weeks, I'll be taking a small break from it all soon.

We're on vacation Smile I was busy packing for the trip, getting the garden and pool set and trying to finally get all of our clothes clean and dishes washed. Exhausting! Now I'm just sitting in the car though...

We had a mini camping trip yesterday with friends and today we're recovering. It's clean up day at the house and DD1's friend may come over for a sleepover. We have been working in the garden and cleaning out the garage. We also started the Insanity workout program by Beach Body and it's kicking our butts. Wink

I'm in and out. I definitely don't post or read as much as I use to though. Things seem so different here lately. Nothing I can really pin point....just different.

Last week was the end of school so we had all the assemblies and parties that comes with the last week of kindergarten. This week we(meaning ME) are resting up and allowing a lazy week of transition before the summer activities start. I have a lot planned for the kids.

Gabriel has summer reading assignments from his gifted and talented program, and we will also be doing the reading program at the library.

Gabriel wants to learn Japanese and Spanish, so we will be setting up the Rosetta stone program for him to work on each day during Lilith's Nap.

He also wants to learn piano and guitar. I already tuned the piano and have videos and books ready for him to start learning.

He signed up for summer basketball so we will have practices and games to go to.

Lilith is working on her talking and learning manners mostly right now. She's old enough now that she cleans up her own room each night and helps me with chores. Right now she takes the feather duster around the house to dust every day and helps wipe down the cabinet doors when I'm cleaning the kitchen.

So mainly this week, the kids get free play all day, and do their regular morning/evening chores. I'm working on a schedule for summer to do activities and extra chores for the kids. They will need to help me more since the wreck happened so that we can still have time to do the fun stuff. It takes me twice as long to clean up as it used to because I have to take it slow and frequently take breaks.

I thought this article was very interesting, about the decline in message boards in general:

http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/07/10/remembrance-of-message-boards-past/

I'm totally open to any ideas on how to attract posters to our forums. I would love to see it as lively and fast-moving as it used to be, but I wonder if it is an uphill battle against the forces of facebook Wink

I would love if there was an app for HC! It would be so much easier to post (and buy things) since I'm mostly on my phone Smile
