Sender: 1 Adult, 1 boys, 1 toddler (I will take one each or as many swaps with as many people as want to - maximum 3 of each size). Happy to ship overseas too!
1) Do you want longer than ankle length. If so, how long. At least a few inches above the ankle to stay up.
2) Do you want patterned, if possible. Not necessary - simple is great.
3) What weight yarn will you be sending to work up. I have all weights available. Knitters preference - I will be custom dyeing for them
4) Are you willing to be paired with a new knitter or do you prefer someone more experienced. I only care about the end results _________________ ~Melissa

CREATOR
1) How many pair of socks are you willing/able to do.
I can comfortably do three pairs!
2) Are you willing to do longer than ankle length and/or patterns.
I'm happy to do up to 3" cuffs, if there's enough yarn, and some patterns (I love Hermione's Everyday socks: http://www.flickr.com/photos/73842596@N00/7050618259/)
3) Please indicate any restrictions (i.e., only up to certain sizes, or only with sport weight yarn, etc.)
None that I can think of offhand. ETA: At least sock weight, please.
4) What types of yarn you'd like as payment.
Anything sockweight and larger. I prefer non-superwash worsted, but I'm totally happy with anything! I've also kind of thought it would be fun to knit up some sparkle sock.
5) What, if any, types of yarn with which you will not work.
I prefer to avoid acrylic, and no fancy fur stuff.
6) Colors you like.
I love blues, greens, and natural colors. And all sorts of other color combos!
7) Colors you don't like.
Bright purple. And not a big fan of yellow or hot pink, either, usually. And I prefer multi to solids...
8) Would you accept yarn other than sock yarn as payment.
Totally!
9) Classify your knitting experience: Beginner, moderate, experienced.
Somewhere between moderate and experienced, maybe, but leaning much farther toward experienced. |

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/duckies
4) What types of yarn you'd like as payment. Fingering or sport weight HC quality yarn
5) What, if any, types of yarn with which you will not work. acrylic, mohair

Sadly I'm a slow knitter, reason I join these swaps to use up my stash. _________________ Tammy John 6-03

I would like to be a sender, but have an odd situation. Let me know if this works or not:
I was in a yarn for socks swap-gone-bad on another board 2 years ago. The creator kept my yarn and never made the socks. I kept contacting her over the years and guess what -- about a month ago she finally returned my yarn! So I have some MM on targhee sock, of which about 2-3" has been knit using this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/aquaphobia-socks
Would anyone want to try to figure out where she left off and continue the socks in this swap? If so I will be a sender. Heck, even if not I can be a sender.
Sender: 1 (two if needed) adult
1) Do you want longer than ankle length. If so, how long. I would love mid-calf length
2) Do you want patterned, if possible. Link to pattern is above
3) What weight yarn will you be sending to work up. fingering
4) Are you willing to be paired with a new knitter or do you prefer someone more experienced. a new knitter is fine as long as I end up getting some decent socks back. _________________ Kristen

OMG, Kristen!! How crazy that you actually got your yarn back after all this time!
If you send your partially worked-up yarn to your partner, and if they agree to do that pattern, if they can't figure out where the other knitter left off, they can always frog the project and start completely over. If it were me, I would actually prefer to frog it and start over, since your partner may very well have a different tension than your previous partner.
Good to see you joining in...I've wondered where you've been! _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)

Thanks! Yeah, after that swap went wrong I decided to stay away from swaps for a while. It feels good to be back in the game though. I just sent my form, too. _________________ Kristen

I still have to transfer the info from the last little batch of forms I got into my chart, then work on matches. I'm getting off the computer right after posting this to go watch Roz in Soccer Tots, then do some errands. I may need the entire weekend to get matches done between that and working...just to let you all know. _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)
