Since we're not far away from 2012, I thought it would be fun to talk New Year's Resolutions. I've never been very strict about following them, because I'm always saying I need to do better about something... But, this year I've got some accountability, so that will help.
Mine are:
To spend more quiet time with the Lord
To run a better household (meals, time management, budget)
To eat healthier and exercise (and lose weight hopefully)
To practice photography more
To prioritize things and spen time where my priorities are
What is on your list? _________________ Jenny

I like yours very much! I may have to borrow a few!
I want to have a heart shape hiney and no saddle back fat by December 2012! I started on that resolution already I don't necessarily need to loose weight, I need to loose those problem areas!
I want to finish my unfinished knitting project and bake with my kids more. |

Mine might sound simple, but I'm sure it's going to get out of control fast!!!
Starting January 1 (and not a minute before) we are going to actually make an effort to actually follow through on all possible "I should"s.
You know... "I should call so-and-so it's been a while", "I should have a salad instead of cheese and crackers", "I should drink 8 glasses of water a day instead of 8 cups of coffee", "I should actually go to my physical this year", "I should floss more"... and the list will never end.
Basically we want to do a clean up of our health and relationships and sock some cash away too... so making a general "I should" resolution should touch on all aspects.
OH BOY!!! I should re-think my resolution! _________________ WOHM to DD (10/07) - happily married since 05/05 to a DH I never see

I honestly had not thought of much yet. I thought of some for my business but those are more reorganization and goals for the next year.
I will need to think about personal ones though. I have some doc appts coming up that will define much of what will be happening for me in the next year so I have a feeling my resolutions will revolve around what happens with that. _________________ ~Nikki

Mine is to have more patience with my husband and children. I'm focusing on that, but here's a few other's I'd like to accomplish:
Lose 25 lbs from last baby-this usually takes me abotu 18 months but I'm shooting for 6 months.
Get the house ready to sell
Make a budget and then actually stick to it. _________________ Sandy Homeschooling Mom to 5 great kids

I want to be creative & artistic this year. I do not want to fall into a rut of doing the same old thing all the time. This relates to my sewing mostly but also to my life. I don't want to be stuck in a "rut" all the time.
Second is to get under 200 lbs. I have about 20 lbs to go to get there. Once i'm under 200 lbs i will consider my weight loss a total success, although i'm perfectly happy with my progress whether i ever lose another lb or not :-) _________________ Sarah

I would like to reach my weight loss goal in 2012. I have 25-30lbs to go.
I'd like to see all of us eat more veggies and possibly vegetarian-style 1 or 2 nights a week eventually.
DH and I need to do major CPR on our relationship. We were doing pretty well there for a while, and then he was an idiot again for the past week or so, and I feel like we're back to square one.
I have a few more, but the rest are Pink Lemonade related. :-) _________________ Sue, Mom to Abbie (8), Andy (6), Ava (5), and Audrey (2)

That's a very good idea! I will need to borrow this, I'm very bad at saying "I should do this" and never getting around to it.
Mostly following through on keeping connected with friends and family, and writing to my grandmother.
The rest of my resolutions are about my business, which I am super excited about . _________________ Genevieve

I don't do resolutions because I never stick to them, but I have some things that I want to try to focus on in 2012
* Learn/master Romanian cooking - my SO was born there, they moved to the US when he was 6. I am Italian/Irish but we really have no traditions and his family has so many; we are pretty much just adopting all their traditions into our family, so I have to learn to cook everything! I have mastered cozonaci (the holiday sweet breads) and have made a few other things with him. I am actually making my first meal alone tonight
* In going with the first one, my 2nd is to learn Romanian. I am familiarizing myself with food related words, and have at least gotten to the point where if I had to go to the Romanian bakery/grocery at Christmas alone (we go to NY every year to get very specific things for Christmas dinner) that I could order everything I needed to while there, but that's it. I used to speak Italian fairly well, and thankfully there are some similarities (and some phrases that are identical), so I am hoping that with the help of rosetta stone, I can do this. When we have kids, I want them to speak Romanian and i'll be damned if they can all talk to each other and i still can't understand, lol!
* Stick with the workout program that I have been doing. It's really hard for me to find the time to do it, but I feel so much better when I do!
* Be more patient _________________ ~Bonnie~

I have a bunch...hoping to continue with the changes we started this past year and expand upon them.
For me:
-less time on the computer (now that C isn't nursing so much I really can't get away with it and I need to be doing other things)
-no more buying yarn until I'm pg with #3....I have plenty to knit for the boys and need to get some projects done before I start knitting for a newb
-get myself in better shape to get pg again....I need to gain about 5lbs cause my body likes me to be fluffy to get pg but I need to be in better shape physically.
For our family:
-be debt free by december 2012. We were so close this year but we had several unexpected expenses. Hoping we can stay on track and be completely out of debt (everything but the house) by december.
-get all of our unfinished projects done around the house, so its in the ideal state (this won't be easy as we have a lot of projects on the agenda). Hopefully if we do this we can either be happy with our house and stay or be in a position to put it on the market spring 2013.
-spend more family time with planned outings together. this will be a difficult balance with the projects we need to get done but we have to find that balance.
Ok, and the biggest thing to work on is making baby #3 this year
ETA: hoping this will keep me accountable! _________________ Lindsey ~ Mumma to J 11/07, C 5/10 & O 10/12

I want to make an effort to make more time for myself. My dh used to run 6 out of every 7 days and we made it work. He has cut back for this winter at least which means there should be no reason that I can't take that time and walk on the treadmill. I really love doing it and it makes me feel so good but I tend to sew if I have extra time or do computer work and that needs to change. _________________ Crystal WAHM to Emma & Liam, loving wife to Scott.

Mine should be fairly easy.
15lbs by the end of the year. We've got friends to keep us going to the Y this year, and we do at least half an hour - hour a day working out at home. I think I've already lost 2 of those lbs, and we're not even to the new year yet.
Pay off 10k by the end of 2012. Sounds like a lot, but the car gets paid off with taxes this year and we just found out DH should be getting another very nice raise for 5 full years of service in January. I just have to keep away from HC during sales! Seriously though, along with that, we plan to build up 2k in savings and not use the credit cards except if we shop at the stores they are linked to. In that case, we use them only if we already have the money to pay them off, and only because we get the rewards for them.
Now, this final one is going to be the hardest on me. Work on my shopping. No having so much that I have to put away some for the next holiday because we end up with more than I thought. No buying clothes because they're a good price for the kids at yard sales and clearance areas. Instead, I plan to buy them only a couple WAHM pieces. That's what they grab for first anyway. No buying it just because we *need* it, because that stuff normally just sits around... Man... This is going to be a struggle for me, but I'm going to work really hard on it. _________________ Jessy, Happily Married SAHM to Kaylee (Oct 06,) Alyssa (June 08) and Bubby (Dec 09,) and Tommy (Sept 11)
