A funk..

So I have been in one for a while and it is getting old. Most of it is because my dad, who was one of my best friends for ever, never calls or returns calls or talks to me. He did finally call yesterday after two more phone calls and an email. I flat out asked him if we had offended him, his answer was no we hadn't but, that he just lived in his own little world and generally forgot about everyone else. What do you say to that? He has always retreated into his own little cave, but my kiddos barely talk about him anymore. So frustrated.

I am also finding that I am just not happy and I think it all links to my spirituality, so I am working on that and working on finding happiness in just being home and being with my family.

So many of the people around me have such close girlfriends and I have friends but, nothing like that. So I am just trying to accept that and find the joy in what I do have, which is a lot.

Sorry, for venting. I have needed to get this out but, I have to be careful where I post it because I don't need a big deal made out of this.
I feel very safe here and I miss you guys.

You need to take some YOU time and get out and try to make friends. I know it is much easy said then done but I have found when I do that it helps tremendously!

I totally understand what you mean about friends. I have friends, but 95% of my friends are now family. The other 5% don't have kids, or have kids much older than mine, so it's hard for us to get together and do things.
I'm hoping that once Austin starts preschool next year, I'll be able to re-connect with other people who have children similar ages as mine.
