*Please note I haven't done a yarn for knit swap before so if the timeframe looks way off for what you are able to do please let me know and we can adjust.
Rules (Mary, borrowed this from you):
1) Sender’s yarn to be worked up and payment yarn(s) MUST be of equal quality and value. Don't send yarn you wouldn't be happy to receive.
2) Please, listen to your Creator's preferences for payment and work-up yarn. For example, if they do not wish to receive Peace Fleece, please don’t send them Peace Fleece.
3) Ensure that your Creator knows the yarn origins of their payment yarn at least - what type of fiber, name of colorway, dyer, yardage.
4) Ship in a timely manner.
5) If you have unresolved transactions, I reserve the right to pull you from the swap. This includes other boards.
6) COMMUNICATE with your partner(s). Keep them updated, especially if there are any problems/delays that will affect shipping times. Everybody appreciates a little communication.
7) If you are in the USA, DC is strictly REQUIRED. Keep your receipts until you know the other person has your package.
8) Each party is responsible for their own basic shipping charges…Sender will pay to ship yarn, Creator will pay to ship finished project. If the Sender wishes to have insurance on the project when it is sent back, it is their responsibility to provide such fees to the Creator.
9) Return of any leftover yarn will be worked out between Sender and Creator.
Time schedule:
Sign ups: Until 9/22.
Matches: ~9/25.
Send yarn: 10/11.
Send tops: 12/1.
Please understand that tops, especially for winter wear, can take longer to make, so please give those who are making tops another week or two to complete the project.
Creators, please include the following in your post:
1) Any patterns you already have (this will not eliminate you from making other tops...the Sender will simply supply you with a pattern you may not already have).
2) How many tops you are willing/able to do.
3) What sizes you are willing to do.
4) What types of yarn you'd like as payment.
5) What, if any, types of yarn with which you will not work.
6) Colors you like.
7) Colors you don't like.
8) Would you accept sock or other yarn with the same value as payment.
9) Do you consider yourself a beginning/less experienced knitter.
Senders, please include the following in your post:
1) The style or possibly exact top you wish to have made. It will be your responsibility to provide the pattern to your partner if they do not already have it.
2) What size(s) you'd need.
3) How many tops you'd like to get.
4) Are you willing to be paired with a new knitter or do you prefer someone more experienced.
There is no limit as to how many swaps you can do, provided everyone gets at least one. If the Creators are filled with the number of swaps they indicated and there are still swaps available from Senders, you are more than welcome to do side swaps on your own as I will not overburden the Creators.
If you are not going to go through with this swap, i.e. keep the person’s yarn and not send their tops, or not send the yarn to the Creator, then do not sign up. Failure to follow through on either end WILL result in negative feedback from myself AND your partner. If necessary, it would be better to drop out of the swap after signing up and before matches are made.
Once you have signed up, please e-mail the following information to ksbryant79@yahoo.com with the the following information by 09/24:
Creators
1) Your name.
2) Your HC name.
3) Patterns you already have.
4) The MAX number of tops you're willing/able to make.
5) What are your limitations on each size.
6) The max number of each size you're willing to make.
7) Anyone with whom you do NOT want to be paired - no reasons needed and I won't share the information.
8) If there is someone with whom you'd LIKE to be paired – no guarantees, but I will try to make it work.
9) In what country you live.
10) Are you willing to ship outside the country?
11) Classify yourself as a beginning or experienced knitter.
Senders:
1) Your name.
2) Your HC name.
3) Pattern/style you are interested in having made.
4) The MAX number of tops you'd like to get.
5) The sizes you need them to be.
6) Anyone with whom you do NOT want to be paired.
7) Anyone with whom you'd LIKE to be paired.
8) In what country you live.
9) Are you willing to ship outside the country?
10) Are you OK being paired with a beginning knitter.
PLEASE keep in mind that the measurements are needed to make accurate matches. If you provide me with incorrect measurements, I can't promise your partner will be happy or willing to make your top.
Requests for those with whom you DON’T want to be paired will be honored (with ONE exception - a list of everyone EXCEPT one or two people. If there are serious reasons why you'd have a problem being matched with everyone except one or two, PLEASE provide me with your reasonable explanations).
I will not be sending reminders to individuals who do not get their forms in to me on time...I just do not have time to chase these down. Thus, if you sign up, but do not get your form in timely, I will not be able to match you with anyone and your participation will thus be forfeited.

I'll happily create.
1) Any patterns you already have (this will not eliminate you from making other tops...the Sender will simply supply you with a pattern you may not already have) - Sleuthing Hoodie, Riding hood sweater, Neverland - Peter, more than happy to try more, Cowgirl butterfly astronaut vest, Oriental Lily, Hoodwink. I have more too I'm sure!.
2) How many tops you are willing/able to do. Depends on size, but 4 max.
3) What sizes you are willing to do. Prefer up to 5yrs, but would take bigger.
4) What types of yarn you'd like as payment. Wool or wool blend only. No cestari or peace fleece. No lighter than DK weight.
5) What, if any, types of yarn with which you will not work. Prefer wool or wool blend only. No cestari. I'd prefer to work with worsted or aran or bulky.
6) Colors you like. Brights, hot pink, purple, blues, greens, most really.
7) Colors you don't like. Pastels. Neons. Grey, yellow and white, unless as part of a rainbow or other colourway where they don't stick out too much.
8) Would you accept sock or other yarn with the same value as payment. I'd prefer nothing finer than DK. I don't mind if it's a different weight to the yarn for knitting though.
9) Do you consider yourself a beginning/less experienced knitter. Not really, I've been knitting over a year. I would prefer not too much lacework or cabling though. I don't like knitting pieces to sew together, I'd rather work seamless patterns if possible. _________________ Shadow

Senders, please include the following in your post:
1) The style or possibly exact top you wish to have made. It will be your responsibility to provide the pattern to your partner if they do not already have it.
Ridinghood Sweater, Wendy Sweater, Discobaby Playtime top, Tiny Tea Leaves, Belle Sweater, and the SMSS rompers and Kimonos are a few I like. I am very open to other patterns
2) What size(s) you'd need. 18/24m or 2T based on patterns
3) How many tops you'd like to get. I am completely open...from 1-4
4) Are you willing to be paired with a new knitter or do you prefer someone more experienced. I am open to either _________________ Bridget, Crazed wife of a WAH Hubby and SAHM of my three wild boys and one precious little princess.
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy yarn...Isn't that pretty much the same thing???

1) Any patterns you already have (this will not eliminate you from making other tops...the Sender will simply supply you with a pattern you may not already have).
Ridinghood Sweater, Corvallis Cardigan, Springtime in Hollis, Arabella Pinafore, Handspun Pinafore, Addison Sweater, Elizabeth Tunic., Sleuthing Hoodie, Andalusia
2) How many tops you are willing/able to do.
Two
3) What sizes you are willing to do.
Pretty open about it. But I can't do two large ones. Like I couldnt' do an adult and a size 8
4) What types of yarn you'd like as payment.
Cestari, Marr Haven, Licorice Twist, Superwash DK
5) What, if any, types of yarn with which you will not work.
Would prefer no peace fleece or acrylic
6) Colors you like.
Pretty much all. Love royal colors though
7) Colors you don't like.
I do not like neons. And I don't like brights and pastels mixed together except in rare instances. I would prefer the yarn to not be a complete surprise if at all possible.
8) Would you accept sock or other yarn with the same value as payment.
Not at this time - needs to be DK weight or higher
9) Do you consider yourself a beginning/less experienced knitter.
Could we go with midlevel? I've been knitting for about 15 months but still have some things to learn.

2) What size(s) you'd need. x 2t
3) How many tops you'd like to get. 1
4) Are you willing to be paired with a new knitter or do you prefer someone more experienced. As long as they can do short rows, thats probably the hardest thing about the Norway Romper. _________________ Cristi - Wife to Jeremy Mom to G - A - C - M

Oh my, I would LOVE A Hoodwinked! If we got paired would you be willing to do both a Hoodwinked and a SMSS romper? I know you said 1 or 2 and so I thought I would ask upfront since it may be easier for me to work with just one person (since baby is due right as items are due to ship and I may very well go MIA for a bit plus my mind is ultra space cadet). _________________
