eta-- it looks like I was misinformed.
Ok, I thought that my account had been flagged for receiving business as personal with the coop, when things were getting fees that shouldn't.
It has not. I finally after way too many emails got the answer to the problem.

The only payments that will not incur any fees are:
1. Personal Payment funded by PayPal balance.
2. Personal Payment funded by bank account.
3. Personal Payment funded by instant transfer.
4. Personal Payment from a Personal account.
Personal Payments that will incur fee are:
1. Personal Payment funded by a credit or debit card (Debit or credit
card transactions are assessed a fee, but the sender has the option of
paying the fee or passing it on to the recipient).
2. Personal Payment coming outside United States.
3. Personal Payment coming from a Premier account or Business account. |
So everything sent by a premeire account gets a fee charged on it. Everything sent from outside the US gets a fee charged on it. _________________ Becky's Paper Creations hc

Thanks for the info. Is this quote directly from the Paypal website? or a Paypal rep.? According to this page:
https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/helpscr?cmd=_display-fees
there shouldn't be a fee if it comes from a funded account or bank account. On the top of the page, "fees are now the same for all accounts - Personal, Premier, and Business".
I'm so confused. |

It came from a paypal rep. Maybe they are lying to me, but they insist there is nothing flagged in my account and that the reason fees were charged is they came from bus. accounts. _________________ Becky's Paper Creations hc

Maybe you're incurring fees because of:
Personal Payment funded by a credit or debit card (Debit or credit
card transactions are assessed a fee, but the sender has the option of
paying the fee or passing it on to the recipient). |

I think all the payments were sent with funded paypal.
We are playing with this a little right now to try and figure it out. _________________ Erin

According to both paypal and the people who sent them all the transactions were sent with funded.
I even tried myself and sent my personal account $1 with my premeir account and it had fees charged on.

Well, it looks like paypal might have lied to me, since we just sent from bus to personal on a couple of accounts and there were no fees. _________________ Becky's Paper Creations hc

I've also never been told by ANYONE that I've sent PP to that they're being charged fees because the funds are coming from Canada either. I pay in US funds using a funded which is directly linked to my bank account. _________________ Amanda, Mom to Tyler (12/05), Wife to DH Marc (7/05)

The out of the US thing does appear to be true. It is in the terms of service. Who knows though, none of it makes sense. _________________ Becky's Paper Creations hc

OK, I just reviewed all my trim coop payments. Not a single one of them has fees taken out. I have business payments, out of country payments and everything - no fees on a single one of them.
That's just an FYI |

I think they misinformed you too. If you check my payment it was funded from my paypal balance. I have a premier account. Check and see if you were charged a fee on it. I sent it as personal. _________________ Christina: Wifey to Mike. Mama to Spencer (9), Gavin (6) and Mattingly Grace (3). |

When I send a personal payment to anyone to the US, I am told that there are fees to be incurred and I choose to pay them since I feel that the coop hostess should not have to absorb that fee.
I do not get that option for business payments but I include the fees for shipping for the same reason. _________________ Julie

Some of rules just went into effect today. At least the .30 transaction fee that is not refunded, went into effect today. _________________ Erin
