That is so neat!! We had a mockingbird nest the first year we had our berry bramble. It was so much fun to watch the baby birds grow and when they became fledgelings, it took them a couple days to really get enough flight to get out of our yard! _________________ Under the Hill Crafts

I was thinking of your robin and her eggs the other day. We had a bad storm roll through and the baby robins in the tree near my parents house kept falling out of their nest! Luckily they didn't have far to fall and they are big enough that they were ok. We stuck them back in the nest but they barely fit anymore lol. _________________ Lisa, wife to Jonathan-Awesome Aunt to Addie, Zach, Hannah, Kaelyn, Christopher, & Nicholas

That's awesome. We had a nest in a tree last year and we had 4 babies as well. It was such fun to watch them hatch and grow and fly off. It happens so quickly! Great pics of the kids too. _________________ Kristi, happy WAHM to dd (8), ds (5), and ds (3).

Well, one of my kids was a little too curious and broke some of the eggs. I think it was my son, but we have been working really hard to not touch the eggs. A hose reel is such and unfortunate place to lay eggs.
Anyway, the nest was abandoned for a couple of days and now the bird is back and there are more eggs. I am hoping that I can keep the kids away and then they will actually hatch.
I am currently trying to figure out a way to barricade the nest so the kids can't get too close. _________________ Erica

The eggs started hatching today! It is so cool to watch them hatch. It is very hard work for those birds to break out of the shells.

Here is a closeup of one of the babies.
Nikki,I have a digital rebel by Cannon. I have ahd it for five years and I still do not know all the things it can do. I really want to take a photography class, but it is still user friendly for the automatic features. I take a lot of pictures on the micro setting. _________________ Erica
