Sleep revisted

so i decided that SOMETHING had to change with Diesels sleep habbits. i mad ehim a weighted blanket yesterday, and we decided to try to get him to sleep more. MY DH agreed to be the main night time parent, because if D doesnt see me, then he seems to not really be persistant about having me.

Last night he fell asleep, while nursing at about 9. I put him in his bed, and i went to bed myself. around 930 or so, he woke up, i went and picked him up, then DH came in, and i handed him off to him. He rocked him until 10. D then slept in his crib until 12. when D rocked him again, until 1230. He woke up again at 330. I told DH to bring him to me, so i could feed him, and he nursed for 35 minutes. then went back to sleep until 730, when he nursed for about 20 minutes. It is 9, and he is still sleeping.

So i am totally Ok with this schedule now, with him going to bed at 9 and nursing at 330 and again at 730.
He did so good. Hopefully he will nap in his crib today, and then sleep even better tonight.

We have not made him cry at all, and even though it was only one night, it seems to have gone smoothly.

That's great you had a good night!!

Hopefully he picks up the routine & you all get the rest you need.

Hope it works out too. I learned about weigthed blankets when our problem was over with DH but thought that it would of been something I would of tried then for sure.

it was very short lived.

we are now up every hour again at night, he is crying a lot, nursing all the time. I am actively trying to night wean now. being pregnant, and trying to nurse 20 times a day, is really wearing on me. I am letting him cuddle and nurse ALL THE TIME during the day, but i am trying to cut him off at 11 pm, and not let him nurse until 430 am. At 11 months old, i know he should be able to go 5 or 6 hours, but then i feel so bad for him, that i will just nurse him, if he cries for me.

Dh is trying really hard. I dont know what to do.

I think, starting tonight, i will be sleeping on the couch, and i will have dh sleep with D in our bed, and then i dont know what we will do, if we get him to sleep that way. we really want him to start sleeping more in his crib.

Between him, and baby on the way, i will be a zombie by the end of this first trimester
