We have one, it is not a necessity, but it does make rinsing the poos easier- yes it does splatter but you learn to do it in a way that minimizes pretty quickly!

I originally thought it would be great for rinsing ourselves, too- kind of like a bidet- but man is that water cold!!! We have the Bumgenius one, and it works fine.

I recently reconfigured our setup, so we change most of DS diapers downstairs, so I have had to swish and dunk in the downstairs toilet (I'm too lazy to carry the diaper upstairs just to bring it down again!) and am seriously considering getting a sprayer for downstairs too!

Best thing ever! Once I had one, there was no looking back. I can't imagine not having one!

I love mine- it is great for cleaning out the potty chair too. I have never regretted it.

YES! Cleaning out the potty chair is so much easier with the sprayer.

I didn't have one for years and finally got DH to make one for me. We had the sprayer from replacing our sink so I figured if I didn't like or use it we hadn't wasted any money.
That said, I like it a lot. Do I use it-not that often. I'm in a slightly different boat though since DS is a CD'd special needs kiddo (he's 6 in 2 wks).
I think they're a nice luxury but not a necessity. If you've got the extra I sy go for it. The worst that can happen is you don't like it, right?

It was purchased while I was pregnant with DS1 and I don't think I could CD without it. I didn't mind paying for it and it does a fantastic job in a very short time.

i love mine. got it for my DD who is now 5. it's used now to help rinse the toilet and to clean us. i found the cold water is great for hemmroid flare ups and it was great after giving birth to barely make it spray and use it on my girl bits. helped ease some of the discomfort more than the warm water in the peri bottle did.

I actually had hubby make me one when I was pregnant with Lilly. He got all the parts from Home Depot and I think he said it was $18. Took him about 15-20 minutes to put it all together but man is it awesome. Sprays like a champ and gets EVERYTHING off. Honestly I don't think I'd still use cloth without one. With Madison I used rice liners but even then it didnt catch everything.
