I'm working on a pattern and would like help with the official name of this stitch

in the round:
row 1: k1, p1
row 2: k

repeat rows 1 & 2 until desired width.

I think it's a broken rib stitch IIRC.

I've just knitted a hat with k2p2 and then knit the next row and they called it garter rib stitch I think.

I am working on a cabled vest and it's got broken rib in it. That one you do the continuous purk row (or break the rib pattern) ever fourth row.
