How did I manage this?

I had lost several pounds (I don't even want to look ... but it's in previous posts ...).

And now I'm at my all-time highest weight. In fact, if I weighed ONE pound more, I'd be 100 pounds over my pre-Emily weight. Niiice.

I think I've been in an extended version of the "eat all you can before you start the diet for real" mode. Which of course is stupid. Frick.

Oh no Cheryl! My dh did that "eat all you can before you start the diet for real" mode too but he only did it for about a week. I thought it was counter-productive and now that he sees exactly how much he was eating he is pretty digusted with it and has made big changes. I think that anyone who starts a goal to lose weight and mean it, has to hit bottom first and have a realization that that is not how they want to be/live. Just think, these last few pounds you have put on will just add to your total when you loose it all and won't it sound so nice to say "I've lost 100 pounds" ?

I had a big happy moment this past week. I'm down 13 pounds (probably more but I weigh in on Mondays and have been averaging a pound a week loss). Anyways, I took my ds to preschool and one of the mom's I haven't seen since June saw me and she came up to me and said "You look like you've lost weight". I was so happy because she didn't know I was even going to lose weight and then fact that someone else can see the difference is very encouraging and made me so happy!

Heh heh - I guess so - silver lining.

I have noticed these last few pounds a LOT - there is actually a big difference in my body shape - fatter between my belly button & my boobs, which is new. I'm turning into a barrell. lol.

Anyways. So far, so good. (Since my realization this morning). I drove dh & Maya to Macs for a slurpee & had none. Bought goodies at the farmer's market & haven't had so much as a morsel.

Today marks the day I start anew. This time, I will take measurements which I never have. So I have not just weight to go by, but inches. That might be satisfying. (Just finding a way to look decent would be satisfying!).

Wish me luck!

Well, I bit the bullet & joined Weight Watchers online.

The real WW was very effective for me before - I was doing it for a few months (only a month or two at meetings, then carrying on with the plan), and I lost 24 pounds.

I have since regained it ... doh ... and more ... double-doh ... but I think that program works well for me (the Core plan, which they no longer have but they ahve a similar plan). The only thing I don't know is if the lack of meetings/weigh in will still work. There's something about the weigh-in that makes you really want to not have gained!!

Wow, I lost 5lbs. Since it's been over a month since I weight myself I got the scales out. I really wasn't expecting to have lost anything. Actually I figured I'd lost and then gained it back with everything that has been going on. While at the hospital with Lily we ate basically fastfood and in the last couple of days since we got home dinner has been whatever is fast and easy which isn't always the best for you. Plus dh bought chocolate and I have no self control if it is in the house. I can go to the store and not buy junk but if it's in the house I end up eating it. lol If I can loose 5lbs a month I'll be happy though.

I still need to lose 10 lbs but a friend of mine I havent saw in a few months came up to me today and said "Wow, you've lost a lot more weight" I only lost 5-6 lbs but it is a big difference on my frame.... at least one positive thing has come from all this stress!

I woke up, looked in the mirror today and for the first time in a long time thought I looked good! I am starting to feel happier about my body. My abs are coming back, I have definition, my body is starting to look thinner all over.. I am feeling firmer.... I just have hope that I will be back to my body before even Lette soon YAAAAAAY!

I am nervous about finally making a goal of loosing some weight because I dont want to fail.
My goal is to loose some weight and I have joined a running training course. It is a group of us that are training to run a 5k in a couple months. Anyhow, I started my first run on Saturday and I am training 3 days a week right now. I am so out of shape that I cant believe I decided to do this. I just think a goal like running a 5k is really something to look forward to and achieve.
I am hopeful I can do this.

I dont want to say my goal is to be a certain pound, but my main goal is overall fitness and endurance. I know the pounds will drop if I can achieve those two things.
So, here is my big first attempt to do something.
I will try to be a part of this thread now.

anyone else still around here?

I am now down 18lbs and feel great! I look so much better and people are noticing. I am very worried about Christmas coming up though. I'm doing okay with Halloween candy in the house and have had great restraint but Christmas is my chocolate binge time of year.

Hello ladies! I joined Jenny Craig and lost 2.2lbs last week. I'm hoping for the same this week. After ds was born I did JC for about 6 weeks and lost 15lbs and then stayed at that weight (or a few lbs less) since then. Its time to get serious and get rid of the last 15lbs of pregnancy weight. I plan to lose a total of 22lbs.

I feel really great. The first 4 days were really difficult. I was so hungry and my days revolved around when i could eat again. Now I feel great, and I am really excited to just get this done!
