(Posting a new post so my dates are correct in reference to my post time.)

I have never received my end of the trade from this person. I sent my half to her back in early December, before her son was born, and we exchanged several PMs where we decided on which yarn in her stash would be used for the shorties she was going to knit me and whether she could wait until after the new year (I actually suggested this since I wasn't in as big a hurry for my half as she was for hers).

The new year came and went and I didn't hear from her. I sent a PM and she replied back, saying that she had something on the needles but that mine was going to be next. A few more weeks pass and nothing. I sent a few PMs during this time. She did not answer me until a week ago, when I sent her a PM saying that I was going to be leaving negative feedback. She wrote back and said that she was casting them on that day and they'd be done by Friday and she'd send me a DC number. Well, Friday was 2 days ago and I have not received a DC number or picture of the completed item or anything.

Edited 2/17/08 to add... I sent her another PM on Thursday the 14th. She sent me a PM today w/ a pic of the completed item and said it would go into the mail this week.

Edited 3/6/08 to add... I finally received the package today, and the shorties are great.

Overall, this trade had a good start, and a good end... just some rough spots in the middle. I would trade w/ her again.

I had an incomplete trade with Misty. In early December we agreed to trade for Christmas gifts for our children. She had a new baby and I told her not to worry about getting her end out before Christmas, because my daughter had a February birthday. We chatted briefly in late January and she said she would ship by my daughter's bday, but she didn't. I emailed again to let her know my new address when we moved in March and she said she would ship her end of the trade then, but she didn't. It's now the end of May and nothing.

She's a sweet mama but I probably wouldn't trade with her again.

Another incomplete trade

Misty and I were supposed to trade for Christmas 2008. I traded with another WAHM for yarn to have sent to Misty for her to knit up. Then traded with Misty for the knitting. She didn't get it done in time for Christmas, which was ok, her items were shipped UPS in order to ensure they got there in time. She had a baby and I wasn't in a hurry, we checked in every once in a while and it was always something else.

Then she stopped coming to HC, found her on another board, she replied and said they'd be done, more excuses. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but it's been over six months. She's been banned from the other board now for too many negatives. Last time we talked I asked her to please just send the yarn, gave her my address, she said she would, but I've recieved nothing and it's been a couple months.

I've given up hope that I'll recieve anything, and I'm out the yarn as well

I will update if anything changes. I would not buy/sell/trade with Misty again.

Same here.

We had discussed a trade back before Christmas 2007. I made her a tree skirt, an advent calendar and a child size chef's hat and sent it all to her. I was supposed to receive 4 knitted owls and a 5th owl to go out as a hug. Unfortunately none of the owls were received.
