Do you buy clothes for your child's American Girl doll, or other 18" doll?

We don't have any as yet, but I am sure that as soon as we do we will be buying clothes for them. :D

I think it is a fantastic idea to sell american girl clothes, they are so expensive, and many girls have more than 1 doll.

When my dd got her look-alike AG doll a year ago, we were looking everywhere for matching doll/girl clothes. The AG ones are just rediculously $$. My mil bought a number of dress sets (doll dress/girl dress) from an Ebay seller whose prices were too low, I think, like $24 for a set. I would have gladly paid more from someone else because her pattern was really bad -- really wide dresses -- and I had to cut off the sleeves, take like 10 inches out on the sides, and then put it back together. I was posting here on HC desparate for an AG seller but no one was doing it.
Another idea--clothes for webkins. Now my dd AND my ds have those and are crazy about them.

I don't have a dd yet, but by golly when I was 7 I would have LOVED to have somewhere else to get the clothes. I adored my Samantha. wub

We don't have an AG get, but I sense it is in our future (my mom is tempted) but she did give DD a 12 inch baby doll with absolutely hideous clothes that I promptly threw away. She's wearing some ebayer's doll clothes right now for a cabbage patch doll, but they don't really fit. I'd really like to buy some doll clothes for her that are like what DD wears (no frilly dresses) and that are a natural fabric or a fabric that feels nice as opposed to scratchy/nasty poly. . So yes to doll clothes and yes to AG and other sizes - bitty babies or even 12 inch dolly babies that are bought by Grammies from dollar stores...

No, but I'd buy clothes for a 15 inch doll!
