LeighAnne emailed me a few days after my purchase and let me know there was a delay in shipping due to a few loose threads (she went back and restitched the whole strap) and she would send it out priority the next day. I got the bag and saw that she'd shipped it express so that I could have it in time for the weekend.

Product review:
This bag is fantastic! I love everything about it, from the fabrics, the colors, the applique (which is my favorite one of all of them) and the overall workmanship. It's the perfect size for a trip around town and it's beautiful, too.

I would love to work with LeighAnne again and I would love to own another one of her bags.

Customer Service: There were some delays in receiving the bag that were out of LeighAnne's control, but she frequently kept me up to date on progress. This custom was a result of an instock that I exchanged. LeighAnne was generous in offering me a custom to replace it.

Product review: The bag is gorgeous! I am a bag maker myself, so I look at similar products with an eagle-eye - LeighAnne's bags are fabulous and worth every penny. The are generously sized and well thought out as far as pockets and details. There is a ton of work in each bag. I use it quite a bit. I have even traveled with it a little and it's great to take on planes....I load it up with all of DS's stuff. And besides being very durable, they are beautiful too. I would be happy just to have some of her Maternal Art, but to have the "Baby Fly" applique on a bag too just takes the cake!

when i placed this order (including a $45 deposit) i was put on the custom order list. i believe i was number 20 or so and was told that it would be about six months before she'd get to my spot. because i'd heard such rave reviews of the workmanship & loved the designs i was fine with waiting.
six months came and went with no communication. because we belong to the same boards i was aware that LeighAnne was having some personal issues (tough pregnancy, etc.).
another six months went by with no communication, though LeighAnne did stock items at Random Eclipse, Necessitae, Mosaic Moon (yarn store), and her own store.
by this time i learned i was pregnant with my second and needed to use the deposit money to purchase cloth diapers. i emailed LeighAnne via the link on her store site and didn't hear anything back. after a few weeks i pm'ed her via the board we are both on and asked for an update on the status of my spot and whether i could drop my spot and get a refund for my deposit.
when she pm'ed me back she said that she was planning on cancelling all custom spots on the list and that she *could* refund me but she didn't have paypal at the time and wouldn't due to some personal issues. about the same time, spurred by another person on the custom list sending an email to the entire group requesting an update, she sent a message to everyone on her custom list telling them she was cancelling the orders that she'd not yet started.
a few days later she pm'ed me again and offered to send me a used fussybutt aio in lieu of returning my deposit. honestly at this point i thought that that was better than nothing and accepted the offer.
after two weeks went by i pm'ed her again to ask whether she'd had a chance to send the diaper, when she replied she said she'd been busy and hadn't had a chance but her dh was supposed to send it. after about another week went by she pm'ed again to say her dh had forgotten about it but she'd be sending it priority. i received the diaper the next week.

please know that i am not trying to start drama with this review. i feel its important to note that while LeighAnne had this long list of people who'd paid for custom spots and were patiently waiting she continued to stock items at various places. i realise she had many personal issue arise, but wish there had been *some* communication initiated by her rather than as a response to many attempts to contact her (both personally and the messages from the group on her custom list) of any kind to inform people of what was going on and of the delays and her plans for correcting the situations. as well, i feel like the refund situation could have been handled much more professionally rather than providing excuses as to why she didn't and wouldn't have paypal and then the shipping delays.

Customer Service: I received the bag yesterday, July 11, 2007. I was given sporadic updates throughout the ten month wait. Leigh Anne was always kind & apologetic in her replies to me. I did notice that her store & congos were being stocked with new things while there was still a custom list, but since mine was free, I didn't feel as if I could complain.

Product review: The bag is, of course, gorgeous. Workmanship is outstanding.
