| With staggered times, you have more chances to score, but you're also competing against all 80+ hyenas on every item. Which do you prefer - staggered or not? |

Well when I'm trying to score more than one item I LOVE it! When I'm trying to score only one, I hate it because I have more competition. That being said, if it keeps HC from crashing, I'm ALL for it

And... THAT says it all. Most of us wouldn't make such a big deal about staggered stocking times if we didn't break HC if we didn't.

Yes, that is actually why most of the really sought after hyenas do it. Karen has asked them to, to try and keep the system from crashing.

Personally I hate it. I really just suck at HC when everyone is after the same thing. I have scored maybe twice in 3 years when it is majorly sought after. I am much better at finding a secret stocking than winning at a publicized one. That being said, it is nice to be able to try and get more than one thing. But when it is staggered, I think it is more likely that one person with great fingers will get 2-3 things, while some of us get bumpkiss. It is especially frustrating when they didn't even particularly want anything, it was just impulse buying and they sell it off later. I also don't like the "help me" stalk thing either. That just gets even more people trying for things that they don't want for themselves hoping that one of them gets lucky for the person they are helping.
Not a popular viewpoint, I know. I guess all is fair in love and Hyena diapers! It reminds me of the big wedding dress sale that Filene's basement has once a year. Brides with their maids and mothers and anyone else running through the store, snatching up dresses willy nilly...
Can you imagine Fussybutt or Luxe or Elbee in an actual store?

staggering is great for two reasons that i can think of.
A)keeps HC from crashing and
B)Gives more ppl a chance to score hyena goods. |

I have to agree with Angie, I love being able to try for more than one item I'm in love with and I really hate the dreaded crash!

She asked us to stagger our items 5 to 15 minutes apart to prevent crashing. The 1-minute staggering doesnt seem to prevent crashing, as the system did crash for both Jesse and me and we both stagger 1 minute. But, we both did the same thing (1 minute staggering) on our last stockings, and no crashing, so who knows  .

Yeah, that is frustrating. Not only do you have to try for the real stalking/stocking, but then if you're not fast enough in the pm'ing, you feel bummed again.

I have mixed feelings about the staggering. On the one hand, it gives me more of a chance (at least in theory, lol), but it also seems I never get anything from the staggered stockings. And then some get several items...I have cable internet, and a trigger finger, so I am not sure how it is that others are faster, lol. But all's fair in love and diapers 
The HC gods love me, anyhow.
It's just so fun to try!
