Can you wear thongs? (I'm talking footwear here ladies)

I try and I try to wear thong flip flops 'cuz they just seem so cool and I *cannot* do it. That thing between my toes is like torture. But Jules and Iggy both run around in theirs happily. What's up with that? So can you wear them or not?

I never thought I could but when we were in hawaii this January, I had to get some new shoes as the ones that were on were giving me blisters. Thongs seemed like the answer since there was nothing to touch my blisters. They were so comfy. The brand was Reef. Very very nice soles and nice comfortable thing between the toes. And flexible soles too - really easy to walk in. I walked miles in those babies.

Now the undies type - no - only for a few minutes of foreplay :p

I can wear flip-flops for short amounts of time, or when I'm just sitting around rather than walking. I keep a pair on the porch in the summer to wear for trips out to the garden when it's muddy or to the store (I prefer bare feet if possible).

I read in some book once that anthropologists can often tell whether a person is from a culture that predominantly wears flip-flops or predominantly wears shoes from the shape of their feet and the way they walk, so I think it would take some time to adjust to whichever one you aren't used to.

I am a born and raised Floridian. They are pretty much all I wear. Even in the winter. I have like 20 pair and like 3 pair of regular shoes. LOL

I love thongs. The only issue I have is that my feet get dirty and so I end up washing my feet a few times a day in the summer. I know, I am a freak.

Yep! They take a little bit of getting used to, though. I've been wearing them every summer for my whole life. :P
Sometiems there are plasticy strapped ones, I cannot stand those. They hand to be fabric.
Wear them around your backyard or house as slippers for a few days. Also - start out with the thinnest thong piece you can get.

Oh, karen! That makes me so sad for you!! I live in flip-flops (we call them flippers in our house). Luckily, I live in a part of the country that allows for near year-round wear. I even wore them to the hospital to deliver Dace at the end of january!!

My mom can't wear them, though. Some people's feet just don't do them well. crying
