Handmade Owl Themed Baby Shower

I recently threw my girlfriend an owl themed shower for her baby girl due Sept. 9th and thought I would share a few of the handmade decorations. I went a little crazy making tissue paper pom poms but they were really festive. I also made a few owl garlands out of scrapbooking paper. Oh, and the prizes for all the games were handmade sewn things like card wallets with Starbucks cards, drawstring bags and reusable snack bags.

Here is the games table that had an owls memo board for people to leave messages of love and encouragement, a guess how many gum balls are in the jar game and a nursery rhymes quiz.

This was the food table. You can barely see but over on the far left I had a basket full of cloth napkins (all in different owl prints of course!) with a paci as a napkin ring. After the shower, I washed all the napkins and gave them all to my girlfriend.

These were the party favors - owl shaped hot/cold bags. They are quite large (about 12" tall) and filled with rice. They had little tags on the back with instructions for the microwave or freezer.
