I seem to be dealing with alot of grief and loss. Im not coping well with it at all lately. Im told I have PTSD but Ive never had any counselling, I tried a natural therapist once, but couldnt afford to keep going. Plus I didnt like sitting there talking about my problems, when there are so much bigger issues in the world.
It started years ago with a very abusive ex and alot of bad history there. Then I lost friends in the twin towers, I was there Aug 11th 2001 and still get awful nightmares about it.
I lost my favourite dog unexpectedly, which might not be much to some people but I loved her so much.
Then My Uncle (who was more like my father growing up as mom was a single parent) had a heart attack and had a double bypass. Hes fine now, but I still worry about loosing him.
Then my great Aunt died 2 weeks before her 100th birthday and I miss her so much. She meant so much to me. I cant begin to put into words how much that hurts.
Now my son (19) has some mental issues he wont get any help for. Hes been going downhill fast these last few years and now wont have anything to do with us. He ended up assaulting me as he has major anger issues now and the police were involved.
My family and freinds are all in England and I miss them so much. Its hard to make friends where we are and sometimes I dont want to.
I dont really have any point, just feel really down today and need to get it out. _________________

Is there any support groups in your area, I went last night to one with a high school classmate that we thought was for pregnancy loss but it was a support group for all losses. It was interesting and in all honesty was helpful to listen to other people. The counselor was great and made me think. _________________ Tammy John 6-03

Ellen I didn't want to go, I was so sick to my stomach before I even walked in I thought I was going to have to leave a few times to get sick but I was surprised how calm it was, there were people there that just loss loved ones crying and others it has been years. The counselor was amazing. She got something in the mail from the hospital, maybe you could call the Pastoral Care at your local hospital to see if they have any support groups. I chose not to speak and just listen. _________________ Tammy John 6-03
