I do not want the shop closed done AT.ALL. I agree it is counterproductive to growing HC to censor things like this.

I hope the dialog goes well and something can be worked out that both parties feels comfortable with. The images are NOT porn...they are beautiful. Maybe the compromise could be that the thumbs not show any actual nudity? which really only one of those do.
Or maybe ones that are meant to be "sexy" could be limited versus the ones they simple show the beauty of the female form.

I didn't think there was a suggestion to close/deactivate the shop, as that is far from a good solution. It's not uncommon for people new to HC to not totally be familiar with the guidelines. I hope the dialogue does go well, and with a little tweaking of thumbnails and descriptions, there's no reason the shop won't fit in well at HC.

I realize it's easy to throw an idea into a discussion without actually considering the connotations and implications of that contribution. It might be totally obtuse of me, but when I commented on some photos being suited to Etsy, I didn't mean the shop should leave here. Yes, some of the thumbs and descriptions are not typical for HC, but I'd wager that has more to do with an artist's newness and unfamiliarity to HC guidelines, etc.

I don't think anyone wanted to close the shop, but many of the pictures, while beautiful, are not family friendly, and I wouldn't want my children or husband to see them while I'm browsing.

My main concern is that those images are reducing the value of the women pictured to only physical beauty. This is someone's daughter and I know that I would never want anyone looking at my daughter in that way. What do young girls seewhen they look at those images?

I'm know there are many varied opinions on this and I'm not trying to start a debate, but that's how I see it. The values on HC are what sets it apart from Etsy, IMO. And if imiges such as those become commonplace here I know many will stop visiting.

I do have to say I like the natural part of the artwork. Hopefully the designer will stay and provide artwork that is a bit more family friendly. Maybe not so natural.

I do think I wouldn't mind seeing some male artwork. yeah baby

Yes, that was poorly worded. I didn't mean to sound like the default decision would be to deactivate the store. What I really meant that I wanted to chat with the artist about what would or wouldn't fit on the site. We did talk and the artist ultimately decided his products didn't fit the site or the demographic of our customers. He was actually on the fence about staying on the site before this thread was even started.
