I've been working really hard. Watching what I eat and working out. I've lost 18lbs since Christmas. I'm thrilled. I have another 20-30 to go but I should be able to get there by this summer. _________________ Amanda, wife of 1, mom of 5

Hey everyone! I'm new 'round these parts. Anyone still wanna keep up in this thread? I'm seeing a personal trainer 2 times a week, but also have assigned workouts outside of my sessions as well. in total, 30 mins of resistance 3 times a week and cardio 4 times a week on the elliptical for 30 mins.
I'd love to help others get motivated for working out and to help keep me motivated _________________ Sandra (26)

I'm really frustrated today. I have been hovering within the same couple of pounds for a couple of months now. Last week I finally got below that and then this week I'm up 1.5lbs! How did that happen??? I can't possibly eat any fewer calories and I've worked out more than ever. I really doubt it's muscle mass that developed just this past week. I now have 6lbs left to reach my goal and I'm feeling like I'm never going to get there. _________________ Crystal WAHM to Emma & Liam, loving wife to Scott.

I've been losing sooooo slowly lately. The first 30lbs was super easy and now this last 10 is taking forever and I'm not doing anything different then i was before. I'm up to 37.5lbs lost since the end of last July. Feeling great and looking great though! My summer clothes from last year are HUGE! _________________ Crystal WAHM to Emma & Liam, loving wife to Scott.

Well today is a big day! My dd has been begging to see my wedding dress which we store at my in-laws. We went and dug it out today and guess what??? It fit me! Eight years and two children later it fits!!!! I'm so proud because I honestly thought that would never happen again! It doesn't quite look the same as it did on my wedding day as my boobs are a little bigger and my hips are wider but hey, I did it up! _________________ Crystal WAHM to Emma & Liam, loving wife to Scott.

Start weight: 158
Goal weight for now: 138 (longterm goal: 125)
Biggest point of my belly :40 inches (I have a very round belly)
Goal: 36 inches for now as I have stomach muscle issues from my last pregnancy and I'm not sure what is actually possible.
I have made myself a deal that I will ride our new recumbent bike whenever I watch reality tv as well as those times I need a break from the kids. Dh will watch them so I can work out which is an extra bonus.
I also plan to find our stretchy rubber band thing so I can start working on my arms and building muscle to help burn fat.
I will start eating better but will not cut chocolate out of my diet. I will drastically limit my chocolate intake each day and will pass on any other junk food since chocolate is my favorite and there is no point in eating calories unless I LOVE it. |
One year ago today I started my life change. I've lost 38lbs (so close to 40lb!!!) and I look great! I went from a size 12/14 down to size 5/6! This was the best thing I have ever done for myself and I thank you all for the push. I was looking today at the shorts I wore last summer and it is so hard to believe that they actually used to fit me. Tomorrow I'm going to a mini family reunion and I can't wait to see the people that I haven't seen since the reunion last summer. I hope they notice . _________________ Crystal WAHM to Emma & Liam, loving wife to Scott.

CURRENT SITUATION:
Like another poster, I recently learned that I'm intolerant to certain foods as well (wheat and barley), plus I have PCOS & was off my medication for a while. I was 133 lbs in March 2010, got up to 170 lbs by April 2011... but have lost some weight since going gluten-free and am currently 155 lbs.
SHORT TERM GOALS:
- Eat breakfast within 30 minutes of getting up EVERY day!
- Not let myself get tempted to eat wheat products no matter what the situation!
- Get more sleep & drink more water!
- Remember to take my vitamins and metformin as prescribed
- W/O a minimum of 3x/week.
LONG TERM GOALS:
I want to be 125 lbs again... or at least fit back into size 7 jeans (I have wide hips & a J.Lo booty so even at 115 lbs I was a size 5)! _________________ [i] ~♥ Juli ♥~ Wife to Jared , Mom to Fia Bug Gabey Bear & Aveline

I am currently about 40 pounds overweight. My weight isn't my main concern, its the lack of energy and feeling like a sloth and unmotivated.
My Goal: exercise at least 3x a week and monitor my moods and energy levels, keep portions in check (no midnight whole cheesecake snack ) |
