This mama won my YYMN with a Twist drawing and sent her yarn to me, but Package #1 took the scenic route getting here and we wondered if it had become lost, since the tracking info had nothing to help us out. She sent out Package #2 and it arrived very timely. She then sent a button to be attached to the pocket she requested. Here are the results (and excuse the sad pics...gloomy day for pics):
The colorway is Ice Skating by Stitches Under the Sun on Merino. The button is from Tessa Ann.
While I was working on the above pair of longies, Package #1 finally arrived and I suggested I just go ahead and work up that yarn, too, for the same YYMN deal. A button was sent for the pocket on that pair, but alas, when the envelope arrived, there was a crescent-shaped tear in it just large enough for a button to go through, so not sure if it got caught on a machine and ripped that way, or if someone figured it was a cute button and made it look like it was a postal accident, but the envelope was empty. So, I decided that it wouldn't do to have a plain pocket, so I made an owl pocket. I lightened up the pic of the pocket to show the detail.
The colorway is Perfect Storm by Family Roots on Merino.
I'm so sorry for the huge pics (if they are when I actually post this)...dumb PB! _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)

Wow, those both look great! The inseam looks l*o*n*g though. I never appreciated inseam length until I recently did 2 toddler pairs. =) _________________ Ellen

Thank you, ladies!
Ellen, the inseams were 12", so yes, a bit long...
Shannon, thanks for the compliment on the owl pocket. Truth is, these are the first pockets I've ever done and attached to woolies! And that was the first owl *anything* I have ever done. I also altered the pattern to create a different backgroud. _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)
