I've been trying to keep a record of who has received their items whenever it is posted, and it appears that 4 people are still awaiting their items (as long as I noted everything...LOL!).
Tomorrow is the deadline to send your items to your partners. If you will not be able to do so, PLEASE let your partner know and keep them apprised of the status of their item....communication is one of the keys to a happy partner. _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)

hbyeager is one that is still waiting, for me!
I ended having to frog and reknit (using almost 3 complete skeins). Hadn't expected it to be superwash so sizing was the first reason for the frogging (grew in the wash), then keeping the colors in line once it became a scrappy project made it slower the second time around. Currently the project is drying but should go out by Friday.
I have probably overloaded her with e-mails by now, definitely trying to keep communication lines open! She has been very understanding so I thank her for her patience, this thread will be updated with DC upon mailing.

OMG, Jessica, how crazy! And even after all that, you will only be a couple days late in mailing it out!
You don't need to post the DC# if you don't want to...just as long as you have it and keep it handy, just in case the poor package decides to take the scenic route. _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)

I'm coming here to thank Katie krgolden for sending me a FASC shawl with the yarn I had sent her for the longies. What an amazing surprise and a beautiful shawl. Today was a really rough day and I needed that pick me up. THANK YOU Katie! _________________ Tammy John 6-03

Jessica is awesome she has gone above and beyond the call of duty!! It was totally my fault for not realizing the yarn was super wash. I feel so horrible that I made that mistake. When she said she was up to a challenge I don't think either of us thought it would turn into this. I am really really thankful and hope you are not mad.

These went out in the mail today! Not mad at all, it was my pleasure doing this swap with you.
It was an interesting challenge to improvise the design, I hope it works out for you and most importantly for the recipient. The joins are greater in number and a little more bumpy this time so I hope that doesn't affect comfort for the wearer. Knitting it again let me improve on a few things I noticed the first time around, the only thing I like a little less on version 2 is the flap, it was more generous on version 1 and might have been more functional, although it technically doesn't need to be. Plus side is that this time there are actually a few yarn scraps left over! Oh, and I think I forgot the extra button, oops!
Anyway, please feel free to update me as to how the fit works.
Thanks again, -Jessica-

Tammy, I'm so glad you received the shawl from Katie and that it helped you through a difficult day. May it continue to bring you comfort whenever needed. _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)

I used so many emoticons because words can not describe how happy I am. Jessica you are way to hard on yourself these are the most beautiful huge wool boxer I have ever seen. The picture does not do them any justice what so ever. They fit like they were meant just for him. He is wearing them right now as shorts LOL. He loves them and I love them. In fact I wish they were not such a pain in the neck to do because I would order two more pairs!!! Thank you is not even a BIG enough word for what you have done for my son.
You are the best!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad you both like them! I was worried, I was hoping hoping hoping the fit would be right, since they were meant just for him after all so they should fit like that! They weren't all that much of a pain really, and they were a lot easier the second time. So once I catch up on holiday knitting, I may ask you if you still want another pair, and if so I'll use some of my yarn and send you another, a random act of kindness knit in honor of the boys. Doing things like that bring me a bit of joy anyway so it would be another mutually beneficial knit.
Thanks for updating me Hattie and thanks again for a great swap! -Jessica-

Since it is about 2 weeks beyond the mailing date for finished items and I haven't heard anything from anyone, hopefully everyone has their items (there were only a couple people I wasn't sure about).
If I'm wrong and some items were not received, and you are having trouble contacting your partner and not sure what the status is on your items, please PM me.
This swap is done and I'll host the next swap in January for summer woolies...and remember that it will be the only time we'll do summer woolies, no more Round 1 and Round 2. So start thinking about all the summer items you'd like made, for both bottoms and tops, and get your yarns ready!! _________________ ~Mary, Mom to N, grandma to R (10/08), E (4/11)
