at the state fair. Only male in the contest. And the only child as well. Was so cute to see him lined up knitting alongside some ladies older than his grandmother. He was such a trooper about it all.
He was a tie for 3rd place, so they had a 'knit off' to settle it. I can only imagine the horror that 30-something woman must've endured going back up front to face a 12yo boy. LOL. Anyway, she prevailed and he scored 4th place.

Too cool!! Not only is it great for a kid to place that high when competing against adults, but also that the child was male! Now, if you can just get him to make his own stuff...or better yet, stuff for you!!
